We all have secrets. Some of us hide things from our friends to avoid embarrassment. Others keep things from our loved ones because we fear they will think less of us.
Rebecca's new life seems to be off to a wonderful start. Recently, she married Daniel-a kind and loving man who treats her two children as if they were his own. But Rebecca's secret threatens to break up their happy home. Since childhood, she has been able to see and hear spirits but has blocked out their attempts to communicate. She has withheld this secret from everyone-even Daniel. But a few short months into their marriage, a ghost emerges who refuses to be ignored.
Unable to avoid the restless soul, Rebecca must put her trust in her new husband and enlist his help in her quest to find answers
As I said on "the Calling thread" I am interested in hearing opinions about the episode. I am "Rebecca's" (real life)husband and I can provide a follow up to the episode if anyone is interested in hearing it or has specific questions.
I will say they were very accurate though some of the timeframes were condensed. It was also a bit more dramatic than what actually occured but I expect that for a TV show called A Haunting
No Rebecca is not her real name, nor is my name Daniel, and we were in shadow for obvious reasons.
She still experiences paranormal activity on a fairly regular basis. It's become so commonplace in fact that when she tells me about something she has seen or heard I will generally only do cursory research now.
The activity is centered around her, not the place we were in though I think the proximity of the pilot and the little boy is still in our old house. I do not know of any activity there but I havent spoken with the new owners after we left. She has not seen or heard from the pilot or little boy but she has had regular visits (for lack of a better word) from Elizabeth Pratt Jones. She is far more accepting of all of this that she used to be and consequently so am I.
There have also been several instances where she has seen or heard something and it has been verified. That admittedly still gives me the same chill I felt when she picked the pilots names off the list.
I did not see the shadow person as they described it but I did see it. I was actually in my bedroom on a computer and it passed a doorway to my right. I only caught it out of the corner of my eye, not straight on as they showed it. I did hoever feel it before I saw it. My wife was in the next room and after it passed I walked to where she was. Before I said a word she said "you saw it too didn't you?" The dread feeling was over very quickly and the shadow was literally only there for a split second. She said she saw it straight on as it passed through the room she was in.
I consider myself open minded but I did not believe in anything "supernatural" before all of this came to light with my wife. I was more concerned for my familys safety and for "Rebecca's" well-being at the time. I like to gather all the facts before I make a judgement. It's very easy to pronuonce someone crazy or delusional in a casual way but when it's someone you love dearly you explore all possibilities even those that go against your own belief system.
Yes, I agree with you that a lot of people are quick to pronounce someone crazy or delusional right off the bat.
I'm sure there will be a lot more questions from people on this forum later today, and I will probably have more questions after I see the episode again as I missed part of it. Thank you, and I hope you come back here when your story airs again.
P.S. I don't blame you for not giving your real names and being in the shadows for your interviews. I would have done the same.

Too often, people like us are either labeled crazy, lying attention getters or demonically possed...I was labeled all three from early childhood on through my teen years...I learned how to hide who I was and just shut my mouth for fear of rejection.
That part where your wife had fear in her eyes as she looked at you, when telling you what her secret was....absolutely got to me and I cried, as I have had those same feelings.
The only difference between your wife and myself, is that I still need to come to terms with my abilities and accept them. I was just wondering, what was the first thoughts and feelings that your wife had that helped lead your wife to accept her abilities?
And, does your family still get visited by Elizabeth? I am hoping that you still come around or have your account still and it's still set up to send you an email of topic updates...cause, I sure would like to have a dialogue with you and especially your wife if she's willing.
As easy as it is to say to dismiss your experiences, I know this is baloney. It is difficult to answer for 'Daniel' and 'Elizabeth'. But I can tell you that you have more power that you think...

AmandaG. I dont think you realize the power you possess to change what you are going thru. If something is going inside you without permission (spirit) do you realize you have the human ability to demand it leave?
Since puberty I have been touched, rubbed, slapped (thats a whole diff thread) grabbed by the hair, clothes pulled, etc... and no one took me seriously.
Do NOT give up. Let these 'beings' know that you are in control.
This is the thing.... They know you are TOO scared to fight back and it gives them power!!! When they know you arent going to take their supernatural crap (and you arent the 1st) they WILL back off.
Think of it like this... You are the nice girl at school. But girl bullies try to intimidate you and you back down. BULLSH&T!!!! The supernatural know there place in life. BUT U NEED to place them there...
