I didn't catch the name. I don't think they said it. I have a question about it. They said the entity named Steven was an evil spirit. Does that mean "inhuman" spirit or human spirit? I wish that had been clarified. Until this episode, I wasn't aware that another spirit could attach itself to an earthbound spirit. That was eye-opening! EEK

Steven had to have been a human spirit because he was trying to get even with 'the mom'. The show said that Steven was with 'the mom' in a past life. So he was once a human.

When I saw this episode, I was shocked about how my paranormal experience related to that. The 1 part that really poped out to me was the part when the hooded thing with the twig-like hands came to her. Something almost exactly like that happened to me. It started to get really windy, so i went over to the window and then the hooded thing appeared, reached forward, and shocked me. I felt the pain searing in my chest and my arms and head flew back. It was horrible. I might not be on this site often, so if you have a comment, e-mail me at elvenhealer_warrior@yahoo.com thanks everyone

Hello. My names Laura Wilson. and I was the youngest daughter of Lisa. Just to clarify, Steven was another human spirit from my mom's past. Apparently, this guy had killed my mom in her past life and was out to get her again. Sounds crazy but it's true. Michael was just drawn to my mom, and Stephen used Michael to get to my mom as well.
It was a scary ordeal but the show REALLY depcited everything well. It was like reliving the experience.

Hello Laura! I have a question: Do you remember actually being able to smell cigarette smoke during the time that Michael appeared in your room? I have often thought about how smells could appear along with sights and sounds during these paranormal events. I hope all is well for you and your family.

Laura, I was just wondering on the show Michael seemed to have a very prominant role in your mothers life how much did the experience change her? and does it still affect her to this day?. All my love to your family.

Hello there again. With the first question I do remember the ciggerette smoke. That was what prompted me to look up in the first place I could see Michael standing there with kind of just smokiness all around him...if that makes any sense. On the second question.... At the time Michael was everything to my mom. It was hard to comprehend this because I was young, and being young I wanted everything to be okay. But looking back on it now it was a dark time. I didnt want to be home. I didnt want my mom to feel how she was feeling. And there was nothing I could do about it. After we left our apartment (because we actually lived in an apartment, not a house) my mom left the picture in the closet and it was just a wave of relief. The show did a great job depicting what had happened, but because of editing purposes the end of the story was not really told in detail. Also, the depiction of my mom's boyfriends family was a little off. A few other things occured at the end that was not shown. But basically we are all doing great now!

Hi! It's Sarah, Lisa's oldest daughter. Just to comment on the above topics, i remember smelling the smoke vividly. Also, Michael had a prominant role in all of our lives. My sister and i were afraid to be in our apartment at all, and we could feel him in certain parts of the apartment all the time. We were afraid to walk down the hallway, which was right near the picture. It came to the point where we talked about Michael like he was our brother. "Michael did it, it wasn't us!" Sounds silly, but that's how it was back then. I liked how the show was done, it felt like i was going back in time.

Sarah and Laura, Thank you both for responding. The whole thing with the cigarette smoke really creeps me out! I can only imagine how scared you both were. It's nice to hear that you seem happy with how the show portrayed everything.

Thanks for coming here Sarah and Lisa...WELCOME! Thanks for sharing with us, too. Did you finish growing up in that place or did you move? I hope you are all enjoying happy lives now. Were you ever afraid when your Mom was alone in the house? She looked so sad on the show like she might commit suicide to be with Michael...I'm glad she didn't. The lady who played the part of the channeler at the medium's house would have scared the daylights out of me. I really do hope there was/is a happy ending for all of you.

Yah we eventually did move out. We had a lease, and since my mom was a single parent at the time she couldnt financially break the lease. so we were there for a few more months afterwards, and because a job opportunity arose for my mom we moved to redmond, wa. We were originally in vancouver, wa.

Girls: Wow! This story really sparked alot of comments! It was really fascinating and I learned something new. Thanks for clarifying that Steven had been in your mom's past life. It would be interesting for your mom to have a past life regression done to figure out why they were so connected to each other. I am a sensitive and can smell things psychically that others can't. I've smelled cigar smoke in locations where there has been earthbound spirits. I've even smelled a horse pasture at one haunted location. Not very pleasant!!! EEK

Eeklectic, I have stayed in an old house where folks have claimed to have smelled pipe tobacco in certain areas where no one was smoking anywhere near the house. The original owner of the home was known to be a frequent pipe smoker. It's cool that you have experienced the same thing. All I smelled in that house was my own cigar while smoking on the front porch.

Haha. well its good to know that not only I experienced things like that. A lot of people don't believe me or the story, but it's good to know there are some true believers out there!

Yes, I do believe you logirlie11. I think it takes alot of courage to make it through something as traumatic as what you and your family went through. It is good too see that you are sharing your story because I think it will help others in that situation along with helping you process what you went through and survived. This is Sarah, the oldest daughter. Freckler, yes i was afraid when my Mom was alone in the house, and i was afraid to be alone in the house as well, even though i was with my sister. There were certain parts of the house where you could feel Michael at all times. It was in the hallway between my moms and our bedroom. It was always freezing cold in the hallway and my sister Laura wouldn't walk down it without me. We would run down the hallway to and from our room, or to go use the restroom. I thought something bad would happen to my mother if she was alone there. Or maybe Michael would act up more without us being there. There is SO MUCH more stuff that happenned in that apartment that wasn't on the show... it would have made it ten times more interesting! But my Mom will write about it in her book.
