1. doesnt shed or atlest not alot
2. is an all around good family pet
3. doesnt have long hair
4. doesnt bark alot

id rather have a medium or larger dog but will take any size except tea cup

and if you know any good breeder(s) of the breed(s) or a place to find em write it down

Breeds that don't shed much are Schnauzers, Kerry Blue Terriers and Poodles (But you think that poodles are "fruity" so I guess those are out of the question).

pitt-man- Those are all breeds that should be groomed, meaning that their fur can get long, if you let it. But if you don't want it long it doesn't have to be.

I found a site that has a list of light shedding dogs:

http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/lightshedders.htm

sweetnessofdogs- please don't ever use that site. EVER. There are OVER 50,000 puppies for sale on that site. No reputable breeder in his or her right mind would ever use a site like that. Those people are just there to get a quick buck and aren't breeding to better the breed.

ok thanks for telling me bcuz I was looking for puppies on there. I'm glad I didnt buy one!!!

pittman- the german shorthaired pointer is a light shedder, doesnt bark unless there is a reason to, is very social, a great family dog, doesnt have long hair, and is VERY SMART!!! my grandpa has one and its a great dog. he said he'll never get a dog again because he'll be disappointed after having a dog like her.

Good breeders are going to charge more because they put more effort into the care of the dogs and puppies. Some breeds are just more expensive than others. If you aren't willing to spend a small fortune on a healthy dog, than you shouldn't get a dog from a breeder. Go to your local shelter and look there.

ive thought about adoption alot cuz i wana pup but sometimes shelters be triflen saying they're purebred or that they're mixed with this and they aint.

but i still wana know what i want and stuff but i know mostly ima look at bully breeds(they are my favorite) and like dobies and rotts

You can't blame the shelters for not getting it right every single time. A lot of the time they have to guess what breed they are, or are mixed with. They can't be right every time.

yea ive found a couple places to adopt pits but they're all outa state and i like i said before that i want a pup and most rescues ive seen dont have pups but atleast if i get an adult i dont have to train it to much.

but its just difficult to choose a rescue cuz im probly gona get a pit but if not a pit my next choices are boxers, rotts, and american bulldogs

They don't have to be a pup to strongly bond with you. I rescued my Pom when he was 6 years old, and one year later, he can't be more then 3 inches away from me. Out of my four dogs, he is most definitely the one who is the most bonded, and the most attached to me.

pitt-man I thik you should get a boston terrier or a great dane. They aren't that expensive like bulldogs. They have short hair, don't shed a lot, are really friendly, and are good pets. I am going to get a great dane from a breeder.

I know I said I'm getting a great dane but I want something I'll be able to actually pick up with hurting me so I decided I am going to get a Bull Terrier. They are the Target dogs. Here's a pictures of what they look like:bully,bully2
They are truely a character. They also come in miniature but I'm getting the regular.
They come in many colors.Akc
