i like any breed. i love animal. i love dogs. i dont really care about the breed. any dog that is from a shelter i would take it. i would never "buy" a dog when i could get a great dog and save its life at the same time. for "looks"i would pick any breed thats most wolf like.you know husky malamute german shepherd. thats just for looks, if i wanted a pet, iw ould go to a shelter or www.petfinder.com. my dog was on petfinder! he was also on the local station tv show that shows shelter pets. thats how i found him, i saw him on tv and then went on the internet to look at him. his name is and was Bailey, he is a
Lab / German Shpherd / Husky
mix, he is the best dog i have ever had even compared to my purebred lab i used to hve.

Poodles (specifically the miniatures). They are extremely intellegent, easy to train, full of energy and affectionate. I also love to groom.

I bought him from a breeder. My labs came from breeders also, even went to Upper Pennisula in MI. to get by chocolate lab. I love labs, but this little guy has totally stolen my heart!

oh, i always get ny dogs from a shelter. i like the feeling that i saved them. i had a lad once, but i had to give her away, she was a chocolate and her name was Molly. i got her from a relitive a long time ago when her lab had pups and she couldnt find a home for that one so i took her.

Jack russells have been "my breed" from the beginning. My first dog ever was a beautiful pure white(exept for 3 dim spots on the ear) JRT. From that moment on I would continue none of my life without one of these feisty little terrors by my side. Later, I began to breed my JRTs and hunt them, all to keep the breed(and the standard) in it's prime state of perfection. I have owned other breeds as well(Airedale, Newfoundland, a Belgian Mallenios, Blackmouth Curs, a Staffie, and Corgis), but none seem to fit me in the same way as the beautiful jack russell terrier. To me there is no other breed more perfect, more unspoiled, more beautiful, more tenacious, more intelligent, more loyal, more loving, or more finely built than the courageous and hardworking jack russell terrier; the very dog that the great Parson Jack Russell invisioned and the dog that hundreds of people all over the U.S. have fallen in love with. Australian Shepherds! I love their intelligence, size, agility, looks, I like how they love their family and are a bit more aloof with strangers. I love how she follows me around the house. Just a sweet dog, and I love that every puppy in a litter is completely different. Out of 100 dogs, no two look exactly alike...I would love one of each color (black tri, red tri, ,red merle, and I have a blue merle)..but then you can get into bi's and self colors, working lines or show lines...and you could go on and on Smile

I have also had rescue dogs (golden mix), cocker spaniel when I was a baby, another golden pure, doberman, and min. poodle mix. So I like all dogs, big and small, but I think Aussies are my favorite if I have to pick one.

Well PW Corgi's of course but like mackiesmom, the Cairn Terrier would have to come in at #2.. Guess I just like them small but not too small.

I have a dog that is a quarter akita.

I really don't have a personal favorite. I'm not particularly fond of toy breeds or terriers, but that won't stop me from owning one. I like the breeds in the herding group. The Belgium breeds, German shephards, Border collies, Aussies, and shelties to be specific. They are perfect for me because of their high trainability level, high intelligence, and high activity level. They are very sociable and out going.

And that's why I like herding breeds!

I'm not sure I've got a lot of favorites. Like Labs, Dalmations and Miniature Poodles.
