My family is getting a new puppy in June, but we don't know what type. It will be a girl named Stella, we were thinking about a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, but they suffer separation anxiety and have many health problems. The kids ages are 17, 14 and 12. They are at school from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The parents are a teacher and Principle who are away from about 7:45 to about 4:15. Please help us with the right breed!!

I would say German shepherd for being good with separation, but as for health issues they defiantly fail. Perhaps a shepherd/lab cross.

I would say a Bernese Mountain Dog they are great in all ways, they don't tend to have seperation anxiety. Also they are just big fluffy snuggle puffs. Mine was great with everything, he helped mother our kittens, and taught me and my brother how to walk! He was great and I will never forget him.

The breed dose NOT really count. the right dog is the one you love. I know I sound like a hippie or some thing but its true.
