Hello! My dog's mother is a west highland white terrier (westie) mix, and we are not sure what her father is. She is black, with a white chest and a white paw, with the rest of her paws a light tan color. She has a long, big, black nose, a gray beard and thick eyebrows, humongous ears (tall and pointed), and light brown eyes. She is short and sturdy, and has a bushy tail. Do you know of any breeds with most of these characteristics? Thank you for your help.
But my guess based on your description, he/she could be part pembroke welsh corgi. They are short legged, sterdy and have pointed ears. They're main color is a blondish tan and white, but can also be tri colored like the one in the pic. They also have natural stub tails. Cardigan welsh corgis have long tails.
What texture is her coat? Rough, smooth, kind of water proof, wiry, soft? Is it thick with an under coat or thin? What length is her coat? How much does she weigh? What's her height at the withers?
Maybe she's got some Lancashire Heeler in her but I doubt it..yeah, maybe Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
Keep in mind her father could have been a crossbreed.
BY THE WAY, HER COAT IS COARSE AND WAVY. SHE IS ALSO VERY INTERESTED IN OBSERVING OR TRYING TO CHASE LITTLE BIRDS. ONCE SHE PICKS UP A SCENT, SHE CAN'T STOP TILL SHE FINDS ITS ORIGIN.
Thats probably the westie in her. How much does she weigh? How tall is she at the sholders? Does her body seem a little out of proportion? Like, her back is long and legs are short, legs are long and body small.
