If anyone has read the topic ""Is Anyone Concerned"" you see what seems to be the end of Overhaulin and if you go to www.corvetteforum.com you read there that someone who is part of it says Chip Foose has departed Overhaulin this certainmly says Overhaulin is a done deal it is over with. This is a shame for the enthusiasts it leaves only American Hotrod where everyone gets to see ignorance at it's best and gives everyone a idea that my trade ""Automotive"" is a trade filled with ignorance and bad dudes. Boyd who is out of touch leaves Duane who derides his employees and swearing is every other word to run the shop. OCC is more of the same the only inteligent based show was Overhaulin and only because of Chip Foose. The pranks were totally uneeded. NOW all anyone has is Spike TV and Powerblock which is tops in my book but I did like to watch Foose BUT he is gone and so is Overhaulin. They will run to death the Re Re Re Re Reruns and then replace the show with most likely wrecks to riches. TLC was a fool to let the show slip away. You can also tell by these boards overhaulin is gone because no one is posting anymore so the fans know already it is over.

P.S. Now Boyd must be delighted and has center stage with Chip gone from TV and Overhaulin ended and that is a sad note.

The comments from the corvette forum are from 2005 so they were ahead of their time.

So Jimbob What do you think ? I will tell you one thing this site and board is deader than a door nail. Rumors have it that the show is over and done with and no one is posting to the contrary and where is all the ones who were so steadfast for the show they are now are silent

The show may not be coming back, I don't know. I was just pointing out that the rumors about the demise of the show have been going on for quite some time and so far they have been proven false.

Hello all, I'm new to this board, but appearently waaaaaaayy to late for my favorite show!!! Darn you TLC!!! I don't watch American Hot Rod because of their ignorance and Dwane's poor attitude or OCC because all you ever hear or see is the 2 Paul's fighting, that got old all tooo quick!!!

Tonight being Tuesday not Turbo night which is Thursday I saw Overhaulin was on and in its Turbo time slot on Thursday is Monster Garage. This sort of confirms where Overhaulin is headin and that is the end of current shows and will become a great old show in re runs.

I don't know if the show is being renewed or not, however, last year they did not announce season 4 until June 2006. Might be the same this year. Only time will tell.

If its the end of Overhaulin. How come there's an article coming out in Mustangs & Fords March 2007 issue that they went behind the scenes to see what really happens And in the 1st line on the their web site it says soon to begin its fifth season. I sure hope this magazine is correct. I love Overhaulin & keep wishing they would steal my 76 Trans AM & make it pretty again. I also read they start the seasons in June. So right now they should be making the 5th season shows. Let's hope it is still there. Its clean cut, you don't hear a lot of bad words like on the other shows. Overhaulin is the BEST!! Go to Mustang & Fords website & search for Overhaulin. This story comes up & its dated March 2007.

76tansam what are you doing looking in a Fords and Mustang Magazine anyway. Just joking. The car you are referring to is from season 4 it was called the Boss is Back here is a link to another Overhauln’ site with all of the photos of the build. The Ford they drove to the shoot must have just made it back so they could finish the article. http://www.overhaulin.com/theshow.asp?target=78
If any one has info on a car that was in Rod and Custom magazine a Ford Highboy Rat Rod I have yet to see the show and would like to see the finished car.

It’s pretty sad when they advertise another new show on the site of one in question. Check this page out. http://www.overhaulin.com/news.asp?target=9

I also found this site. It looks likes it’s the production company for Overhaulin and another good show Rides. Maybe someone could contact them. To see what the real story is. http://www.bciitv.com/

Please! I NEED MY OVERHAULIN FIX ON A WEEKLY BASIS! I stopped off at the MHT booth at the Chicago auto show and chatted with a rep that new Chip distantly. We talked about the show for a long time and he never mentioned that it wasn't renewed. I can't believe it!! Best show ever. I will admit, used to fast forward through the prank stuff as I was more interested in the car.

Here's what I know "officially": BCII (the production company's) stance as of a couple of months ago was that they were waiting to be picked up by the network (TLC) for a fifth season. I was told that this was nothing too out of the ordinary and that they had been on this type of hiatus before between seasons.

What I've heard "unofficially" is that the two aren't working together (I don't know if that's temporary or perminent), but that TLC, who actually owns the show's rights, have a contract with Chip Foose and plan on featuring him on a show (maybe Overhaulin', maybe something new) in the future.

Lots of things seem to still be up in the air. Keep your fingers crossed.

f1pugs the reason I was looking at Fords is cause my Daily Driver is an 03 Metalic Red Mustang. But my baby is the 76 Trans AM that I've had since 1978. It still runs, but needs some major TLC. Too poor to fix the poor thing but can't part with it. Plus hearing all this stuff about end of overhaulin, I've been researching to see what I can find. I sure hope Overhaulin renews for a new season. They took it off Turbo on Thursday nites for the last 2 weeks at least on the C-Band Learning channel West. It's not been on Tuesday nights either for 3 weeks now. So I miss watching it.

76tansam I was joking. I have a 67 Camaro RS 427ci Muncie 21 that is a great shelf in my garage. I’ve got 2 kids in daycare and may have money and time to work on the car in about 4 years. Its tuff because I get offers every summer my garage is open and someone sees the car, I just can’t part with it. Overhaulin’ was my only hope to get the car restored. Hopefully the will keep the show going.

fiplugs - I believe the Rat Rod episode you are referring to is from Season 3, called Overtime. It's my husband's car, and is actually a modified Tudor Sedan...

Thank you Photochk1 I thought I had seen all of the episodes but the Tivo must have had a hiccup. Congratulation to and your husband to be one of the lucky ones to get on the show and have it Overhauled. I am on the East Coast and have 67 Camaro that would have been a good car for the show, but no luck. I do have a couple of question for you, what did they charge on your taxes for the car? Plus, how is it to own a Chip Foose designed car?

Have a good one.

f1pugs your car sounds cool. I almost bought a Camero but decided on the TA because of the Hoodscoop & bird more than anything. I know what you mean, everytime the TA is outside or the garage door is open people stop wanting me to sell it or people ring the door bell to buy it. Its always tempting but like you I dream of some day it looking nice again. Lets hope Overhaulin comes back for season 5 like the Fords & Mustang website said & maybe some of our relatives will turn us in for an overhaul. Hope, Hope, Hope. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Hey everybody. I sent an email to vice president of production to see if BCI is going to make a 5th season of Overhaulin. Will post if I ever get a response. I sent it to a guy named Dennis at BCI. So maybe if everybody else contacts them & tells them they hope it comes back, maybe it will help. Here's hoping for a 5th season! I went to that address that f1pugs had in an earlier post & hit the contact button. There's a whole list of people to contact.
