Dear Overhaulin,
My father purchased a 1968 Chevy van for work and family trips in 1968. Since then, he experienced some hardship with a handicapped son and we lost our home to eminent domain in 1979. He still owns the van and I feel, if restored, it would restore him. My father's name is Alfredo DiBella, and he immigrated to America from Sicily in 1955. I would like to make one of his dreams come true with your help. Thank you for your consideration, Renato

Dear Chip and A Team,
My name is Nathaniel I am 18 years old. My dad and I have spent the last 5 years restoring a 1973 Olds. Omega hatchback. We no longer have time to work on the car to do the fact that my father is a truck driver and I am heading off to college. I want to help my father achieve his dream of having this "hotrod" as he calls it. If you would conceder his car that would help him to realize that all the work that he is willing to do for us and the world is paying off.

Thank you for everything you do,
Nathaniel

My dad has a 1969 vw bug which he bought new in '69. For the last 14 years it has sat in his back yard wasting away. He has always talked about restoring it but could never find the time, between work and raising my sister and myself. He finally retired from the California Department of Corrections, and shortly after, was diagnosed with Melanoma. Now he is at a point to where he just doesn't have the energy to do much of anything. I think it would help raise his spirits to finally see his old bug restored, even though he can't do it himself. I know he loves your show, as do I, and would love the surprise. He has always helped me out, even through the worst of times, and I could never repay him for everything he has done for me. This could be my way of thanking him for all he has done.
Thank you for your time,

My husband has a 1955 and 1957 Chev. trucks that he was going to make into one truck. I would love to see this happen for him. He is a wonderful husband, brother, father and my best friend. He spends more time helping other people and would never ask no one to come help him. It would be great to see him have something that he could ride around town in and be proud of.

I am not sure if this is the way to get someone nominated, but here goes. I would love to nominate my Moms boyfriend Mark. He is the only father figure I really had in my life. However, this is not the reason for the nomination. The reason I would like to nominate him is for the type of person he is> he is the the true essence of a self less person. He would give anything for his family not matter what he has to sacrfice for them. He will drop what he has to do to help his family. We all would do anything for our family, however he always goes beyond this and more. Not only has he help out financially he lends support and and the fact that if you ever gets so low you know he will be their. Over the years we have grown closer and he has given my children a grandfather and the love and care. If he and my mom were not in our lives, it would have been such a hard life. However with his support life has been good, never having to worry that things wont be better. Anyways he has a 56 chevy truck, he first vehicle. His only dream is to get that back running however with all of the time he puts into making sure everyones eles cars are fixed and making sure everyones has what they need, this dream has beeen put of many of time. so if there is anyway possible his dream could become a reality, I would give anything for this. Thanks Jessica bingaman

I am sending this as a request for my husband. He was disabled in a car accident two years ago. He was hit by a drunk driver in a stolen vehicle. Because he was a passenger in someone else's vehicle our insurance would not pay as a result we have lost everything we have ever worked for.
We had to file bankruptcy this past year. I have been disabled myself since 2000 and he has taken care of our business and me since then. Since this accident we are struggled and are both now on disability. We live on very little a month. He has a 1968 Torino in our back yard that needs total restoration. It was his plan that we would finally have enough money to over haul this vehicle when he was hit by the drunk driver and not able to complete our contract therefore destroying our ability to pay for restoration of the vehicle. It is rare car and hard to find info on. He believes it was the 1968 that was built with the racing engine (cobra?) but no one even has a picture of it available because so few were made. My husband has always put family first and his community. He has remodeled, poured concrete and fixed septic systems for needy people at no cost to them. Now I hope that I can help him to get his dream car fixed. We have no means to do this but he continues to be positive and says if it has to be one piece at a time he will complete it before he dies. I sure would like him to be able to have his car to drive before he gets in a wheel chair. I know this is probably impossible because of our distance from your show but it is worth the chance of me writing to maybe have an impossible dream come true for him, he is so deserving. He watches your show all the time and says some day his ride will look like that. He has said that your the only people that can do it right but he'd be happy just to get it to run while he can still drive. You can contact me at Amy (618)833-2523. I know I am asking for the impossible but we can dream, can't we. Thank you for your time in reading this.

Dear Overhaulin' Team,

PLEASE ACCEPT MY HUSBANDS CAR!!!

My husband is a United States Marine who has been serving this country for more than 6 years. He has served three tours to Iraq and is currently recruiting for the marines. He has had a '69 Chevrolet Chevelle since he was in high school. It drove then but was never a very good looking car. Well with him joining the marines right out of high school all the dreams he had for restoring his car were put aside. He was forced to leave his car behind with his grandparents in Oklahoma while he went off to California to train and eventually go on his first tour in 2004. He has seen more than his fair share of tough times and I know that it would mean the world to him to have his dream car actually be his dream car now. He loves his car and has huge hopes for it but with the way his job is now it looks like it will be even more years down the road until he can even think about trying to fix it up. Please consider him for your show, I know that it would really mean the world to him and to just give him something to smile about would mean the world to me. Thank you for you time and consideration, if you need to get a hold of me my email is cnharada1@buffs.wtamu.edu

I hope you get this and again please consider him, thank you Chelsea Stout

My dad has owned his '66 GTO since he was in high school, that was something like 30 years ago, and it has sat in our garage for the past 20. He's always said that when my sister and me move out that he would have the money to start rebuilding it, well due to some very unfortunate things he has now lost his job, and hasent even started trying to tackle the car. i would love to get his car done for him, i'm just afraid that he may sell it someone if nothing happens with it soon. I would love to give him a hand starting it but i'm in the Navy and stationed in Norfolk so it makes it a little difficult to get home to give him a hand. I have seen a few GTO's on the show but none that were a '66 or that were not Judge trim models, i think that this would be a great project for you guys to do.

thanks for your time and consideration.

Dear Overhaulin:
I am writting to apply for consideration for the show. The car is a 68 Camaro small block. My brother got the car back in the mid 70's while in High School. My brother's goal was to take the Camaro back to it's "stock days", but life, kids, and working has left the car in parts in a garage. My brother is just a "regular joe" but has always gone out of his way for his family and strangers alike. The irony is that my brother is a auto mechanic and has always found time to fix others cars and trucks, but never took the time for his own "pride and joy" ride.

Dear Overhaulin':

I know it is a longshot after reading on others who tried to apply to get overhauled but I figured I could give it a shot.

My father owns (well used to) a 1972 Dodge Charger SE. He was the first owner of it and bought the car right in the display room at the Dodge Dealership in the 70's. He gave it to my sister in hope that her husband would be able to fix it since he has a place to work on it. Unfortunately no work has ever been put into it since my sister took the car. It may be my sisters, but my dad always wanted to see it fully restored to how it looked when he first got it. If you could do this for my family to bring back our family car from the grave, it would be amazing.

Thank You,
Jordan

my father is 77 years old. a two years ago he went in for a simple bypass and ran into complications,he ended up being in the hospital on and off for a year, and having to do dialisis.this past monday my oldest brother died of a heart attack at the age of 57. i cant tell you how devistated he is. i grew up hearing about his days of cruising woodward ave. my brother could only cruise if he would take me with him during the time shortly after my dads hospital stay.he recked his old buick roadmaster ,(backed into a tow truck) as is his hummor he parks with the fine cars at his coffee shop and opens the hood and just trys to be funny, but they see no hummor in it and asked him to not park among them. we never had much more than what we needed and i just want him and my mother to be happy again seeing the look i know you could put on his face would be a nice start, and its hard for me to think of anything i could do for him that would equal the look i hope you dont have a hard time making sense of my writing...got choked up telling the story. thanks

Hey Folks,
I want to thank you very much for doing such a great job on people's vehicles. My wife who has become the sole supporter of our family after my injuries as a County Protective Service Officer disabled me, she had to step up and stand tall for the family.
She owns a 1999 Ford f-150 which we have had since new. The car has low mileage 66,600 and has had the transmission replaced and several smaller items. This vehicle is our sole transportation, and I would love to surprise her with an upgrade on this truck. We both have been giving to others while portraying Santa and Mrs. Claus and giving back to the less fortunate.

I hope that you folks will consider making my wife's dream come true. She deserves everything that I and my family could do for her.

I hope this is the right place to put this request. My Wife is a wonderful woman, who is going to school to become a school teacher. She has a 1976 Chevy K10. 4x4. It was given to her, when her father had a tragic accident and died of asphyxiation while camping on her birthday! What makes it worse on her is that we almost died the night before in the same van and didn 't realize that we had carbon monixde posioning. She talks about getting her dads truck fixed all of the time to carry on his memory! I would love to fulfill her dream, but with me working 60 hours a week and her going to school, ontop of a 40 hour work week there is usually no time or money! You guys are awesome, I watch your show all the time and have seen what you are capable of and this would be a great truck with a little TLC, and a Overhaulin. Thank you for your time and what you do for other people!
