Not sure if this is an official application

To the car making masters,

I have been watching the show for many years now, always wondering how everyday people can get there dream cars a reality. I know its a long shot like many people have stated. Currently I am in hope that restoring my girlfriends (future fiance) 1962' Mercury Comet 4-Door would be a dream. Not only would it be the greast thing EVER for her. It would mean alot, I have worked on it for many months and still have years til' i can get out running properly out on the road. My girlfriend means everything to me, not only for her but our future together. We are from a middle class fammilies with lots of struggles in front of us. Bad economy, means less parts we can purchase for the comet. Thanks for anyone in the show (producer/writer/foose/members) for tkaing the time to read my entry and as well for everyone elses entry here.

Hello Chip and all you good people of Overhaulin,
My name is Brenda. My husband just ended up luckly with the truck of his dreams , It is a 1995 Dodge pickup. I am disabled and he works 7 nights a week but in all it add's up to 40 hour's a week. And I am disabled from a kidney transplant 18 yr's ago. This is my second marriage and he is a very special person to me. He has taken care of me for the last 9 yr's. My health is poor and with him working and me being sick so much and us having my daughter and her 3 children living with us and the other children and grandchildren we have he can not afford to get the truck he love's so much fixed like he would like to see it, He has dreamed of Overhaulin and coming and getting his truck and fixing it for so long. So I would like my husbands dreams come true and get his truck fixed the way he would like.
The truck is not in real bad shape but he broke out the tail light and dented up the finder and bent the bumper last week and the paint is in bad shape and the stearo does not work much at all, And the truck has single exaust and we set and dream of how we would like to see the truck and I would just like to show him how much I do love him by getting his truck fixed by Chip Foose and his wonderful team. So could you please see it in your heart to help me with this for him . I am disabled and have a house full of family to help and we can not afford to do this our selves. He has watched your show for year's and dreamed of this so could you please see his dream come true. I would like to see this done for him while I am still able to see this due to my health it is not good.
He has stopped doing things he would like to do or need done to help my daughter's and grandchildren. I have three daughters and 10 grandchildren who are always needing something done or fixed .And he drops what he is doing to be able to help them which it be money or driving from Missouri to Louisiana to go get one of them when she want's to come home. And he has lost his job before just to go and get them . He is a very loving anf understand man So I believe he deserves this so much.
So please consider this for him, Thank you and May God Bless Brenda Salem Mo SmileMy email address is kamiah2005@yahoo.com

Dear Overhaulin my name is Herman I am 13 years old and I LOVE ur show I watch it all the time!!!My dad has a 1972 chevy cheyenne long bed. He bought it in 1982 and it was very nice, and over time it just kinda sat there. A couple of years ago my dad was workin on it and the spark plug broke and he couldent get it out so he just left it there for about 2 years. Then we had to move to Virgina and we got it workin again. But after we moved to Virgina it just sat there for 8 months and it was just turning it to a rust ball. Then we had to move again and we moved to Las Cruces New Mexico, and again it just sits on the side of our house and the roof has caved in a little, and there has been some kind of rat that has been in it and has torn up all this stuf. This truck means alot to my dad and he has always wanted to fix it up but we have never had the money to do it. SO please overhaul my dads truck!!!!

Dear Overhaulin, I am writing about my 1993 Ford Tempo. I would like to get this car on your show. This car belinged to my brother-in-law Marty. On June 26, 2009, Martin Wagner passed away after a brave 2 year battle with cancer. He was 43 years old. Two day ago my wife asked me to keep this car running as long as I can, as it is the only thing she has left of that was her younger brother's. The only way this can happen is with your help, as I am not very mechanically inclined and cannot afford to restore the car myself. Any help yyou can give me in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Overhaulin',
My boyfriend is my high school sweetheart! We split up when he left for college but never lost our love for each other. We have both been married and all that jazz but still never went a day without thinking about each other. Now, seventeen years later, we finally were both single at the same time and decided to give it a real try. God must have blessed me with my love for him because our relationship is amazing! Not only does he work two jobs Monday through Friday but on the weekends he miraculously finds time to spend with me, all of our kids, do the yard work, and still helps people by cutting wood and taking it to them so they will be prepared for winter. We live in a small town in Pocahontas, AR and everyone will tell you how great of a person he genuinely is. Now about the car....lol. He bought a 91 mustang about 3 years ago and it is his dream car. When I first saw it with its missing front drivers side panel, primer everywhere, and hood with a man made cut out sunroof I was like there is no way we will ever get that where it can be driven. Well, three years later, we have (a couple thousand dollars worth) boxes of parts stored in our bedroom and an old motor he plans on getting reworked in storage and some bare blocks in there too (whatever that is). All of this and still not enough to actually put the car together. Not only can we not afford more parts but we cant afford the labor. The car sits in his moms drive way and looks like its inches from death. I would give you every part we have and the engine and bare blocks if you could help me make this the car of his dreams. He is worth it and so much more. I would love to prank him and then have him presented with something he talked about having when we dated in high school. He is my dream and I would love for him to have his Dream.

Thanks For Your Time,

Spring Ogden

This might be a long shot but I have to try. My long time partner has a 79 ford f-150. It used to be his fathers, which died when he was 13. He is now 26. He has been holding on the the truck because its the only thing he has left to remind him of his father. My bf is a very hard worker, works his butt off for me and our 2 kids. Would be nice to show him how much we appricate him and what he does. Thank you!!

Hey there,
I have an intriguing challenge for you guys. Something I'm sure you've never done before. My parents recently bought a motorhome. They have wanted one for as long as I can remember, now they got the chance to get it, but it's more of a money pit than anything else. Not only that, but my inlaws have had their motorhome for twenty years and it is in dire need of an overhaulin. I'm not sure if you guys are game for this, but I'm sure you can pull it off. This would be the most amazing gift my wife and I could give our parents.

My parents have a 1954 Hudson Super Wasp that has seen better days, but at her prime she was a BEAUTIFUL car. More than two decades ago, they parked it on a family members' farm until they could afford to drive her again, but soon after, I was born and their priorities changed. They have given me more than I could have ever hoped for, and supported me in everything I have done. I know I'm not the only person who can say this, but PLEASE, KEEP READING...

THIS IS WHERE MY STORY REALLY TAKES OFF...
Last year, I contracted a virus that can have some very serious long-term effects. My parents took me to several different doctors. All of the tests showed that nothing was wrong, but I could barely walk around the house. I was misdiagnosed and incorrect medications were administered, making the problem worse. I stopped eating, and grew so sick that I was bedridden for a month, literally shrinking to nothing. Through all this, my parents did everything to find an answer, and after eight months, they did, discovering that the virus I had had caused a serious form of chronic fatigue syndrome to develop (which can take no less than two years to recover from, and that recovery is almost never 100%... for more information, look up "Michelle Akers chronic fatigue syndrome" online).

My parents fought for me when I couldn't fight for myself anymore... they carried me, stood by my side, and held my hand through it all. They are my most treasured blessing from God, and I can feel Him working through my mother and father.

I know that the restoration of a car they weren't able to finish will never amount to what they've done for me, but hopefully this can be one of many gifts to repay them with.

Thank you,
Manny

I just wanted to say my husband watches your show all the time. And I have begun watching with him. We both really love the work that you guys do. There is nothing like a Chip Foose job....Smile
Well we live in Ohio and I was wondering if it was at all possible to have a car from here be on your show. My husband has a car that his family bought when he was 5 years old and he was told that when he was old enough that car was his. And he's had it since. He loves this car but it needs some work and we can't really afford it now with our third baby on the way. His car? A 59 Ford Skyliner... Retractable. He loves this car but hasn't been able to drive it in about 4-5 yrs. It would be wonderful if anyone can let me know if this is even possible. It's a gorgeous car and I'd love more than anything to see him in it.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to write in after watching the Chip Foose family ford truck episode.. It made me think of my old man and his 48 Chev 5 window custom cab truck. My dad Charlie is no Chip Foose but he's an ornery, cool cucumber of an old dude from Pleasant Hill Ca and has a ton of heart. I love him hell of a lot and would do anything for the guy.

It was my grandpa's truck from the time he bought it into our family in 1961 and is a hunk of 1940's steal of a family heirloom. My family is a family of car lovers back to my great grandpa who worked for the Chevy dealer in Denver before coming to live in Oakland to work along side his wife in the ship yards in the port of oak. during WW2. His son, my grandpa Bill started and owned a successful, well respected shop called Payless Brake & Wheel and bought the truck in 1961. Everyone in the area knew, and liked my Grandpa Bill.

My dad learned to drive in the truck, (wrecking it into the side of the shop when he was 14) and still drives it just about everyday all over my home town of Martinez CA. I guess you can see why I had to write in. It just made me think of my family and our history between my Dad and I. Dad's a good mechanic. He did his own "overhaulin" last summer in the garage and rebuilt the 235 which still runs like a champ and is bored all the way over, the interior is in great shape, But my dad is no body man. He took it down to the frame during the beginning of it all and was getting a little rust off of the door when the wire wheel he was using popped and mostly blinded him in one eye.

Needless to say his (in garage) paint job didn't turn out so good. If you guys have some time please write us back. Weather you do, or don't It was a good show and brought back a lot of memories. This weekend I get a break from school and plan to visit him... And I'm gonna make sure to squeeze some more family stories out of his head..

Thanks for the show, plan to keep watching.

Hi, I'm new to watching this show but from what I've seen I'm very much impressed. My dad showed it to me and that's the person I really want to help.
My dad, along with the rest of my family, has sacrificed a lot to get where we are today. My dad was always a fan of oldsmobile muscles cars, he had a white oldsmobile cutlass supreme and sold it to get a more powerful oldsmobile, a 1985 t-top 442. Sadly after a year of having the car it was stolen and never found again.
So he went and bought another t-top 442 (this time a 1986 model), this time in slightly more better condition, and has it to this day. He wanted to customize it and make his own, but my education came in the way. So to afford my college tuition he stopped the expenses on his car and now he is going to have to sell it to help save even more money. But I want to help him before he could!
If anyone deserves a real payback its him, he is always looking out for others and is the first to help someone when they need it. For so many years I wanted to give back to him in some way and this would make him more happy then anything. And more importantly he would cherish what he gets and treasure it forever!
Please take it into consideration,
thank you Smile

I hope I found the right place. I would like to nominate my fathers 42 ford truck. He actually got the truck when his step-father passed away. The intention was that he and I would get the chance to work on this truck, this being a catalyst for us building a better relationship.
Over the past 10 years the truck has sat and sat and sat. Much of the vehicle is pulled off or taken apart without looking like any reassembly any time soon. I, having been in the military, made it this impossible. I have recently been discharged medically and have moved back to California. The only deterrent to our project now is He and the car are in Whittier Ca. and I live up near Sacramento. I would like to get this truck back together and to my Dad. I am an avid watcher and just realized this might be an opportunity he and I need. Thank you for your consideration.

My dad's dream of getting his '37 Chevy 1/2 ton pick up truck up and going, has been passed on. He had lost his job and after 20 years of looking for origanl parts all over. He had to sell it b/c of knowing he wouldn't be able to get to it. As a kid, I always was playing on the frame and dreamed when the day I got to see my dad drive this. So we took out a loan and bought it for him... sadly, knowing we won't have money to get to it for another 10 years at least... we're going to be selling it if something doesn't happen. Its sad to know, a family dream truck.. slipping away. ... --> Please help me! <--

Thanks, LORI from Michigan

Dear Chip and the A team,

my husband Brad has always been a one woman man! In 1991 he fell in love with a Chevy Silverado and made her his own, he took good care of his girl and then another woman came in his life, aka me, and soon became his wife! The old girl has since gone on the back burner,... Now with a newborn and a 2 year old my Hubby is working his keester off to provide for his family, and doesn't have the time or the energy to fix up the lost love of his life! He still drives the old girl to work everyday, and I would love to see her restored to her beautiful self once again. Please consider him and the old girl for an overhaul, I know it would be the suprise of a lifetime for him!! Thanks
take care,
Bonnie Garrett
