To the people of Overhaulin,
I know that you have had the youngest accomplice, but what about the youngest victim. My daughter is 16. I want you to take her 83 chevy truck that has been in my front yard for 5 years and redo it. My husband bought it for her and the plan was for them to rebuild it. They have rebuilt the motor but that is as far as they have gotten in the last 5 years. It is as eye sore to my house and my neighbors. I have people stopping in asking me if it is for sale. Amanda, my daughter comes running out yelling NO ITS NOT. If I did sell it I know she would not speak to us for a long time. I just want it either fix and running or gone.

To met Amanda you would be shocked at her. She is not your typical teenager girl. She like trucks, mud riding, hunting, and that kind of stuff, but on the other hand she is on the daneline team and likes to dress up and go to homecoming and prom. She has a 3.5 gpa and is in the 11th grade. She is also taking college classes while in high school. She is in the top 10% of her class. The program is biotech magnet. Which her class is the second class to be in it. She has worked so hard to be where she is at now. The main reason we have not been able to finish this for her is because I became sick and had to leave work 3 years ago. The income my husband makes we have to use to live on and that is just enough to pay the bills. We are falling behind with the house because of the economy. I do not want to give a poor pittful me story, I want to give you the reasons. I wanted to do this for her because she has worked so hard in school and made such good grades, that I can not give her anything else besides the I am so proud of you. I know that is alot but I also know she really wants her truck.
My email address is irgenius1367@gmail.com . You may also reach me by WWW.FACEBOOK.COM/IRGENIUS or www.myspace.com/irgenius1367 .On myspace, there are pictures of her and some of the outside of her truck think so. Please let me know. Also here is my cell 318-751-2300.

Thank you

Overhaulin, My husband Has a 68 nova and two 74 novas. He put alot of work into the 68 and is trying to use it as his daily driver, but it seems every day something goes wrong or a part goes out. This car is his dream but with stuff going wrong with the car he has lost his intrest in working on it. he works for a car lot fixing cars all day. When the car is working right he takes it out and just smiles the whole time he is behind the wheel. i would love to see the smile on his face when his dream car is finished. thank you - Mary Loveless 832-285-7616

Overhaulin,
My other half has a 75 Nova hatchback. He has become an amputee. He lost his leg working on a ranch in Nevada when he was 19. He has put some work into this Nova but we can't afford much. Since we have had our children his car, who's name is Nadeine, has been put away in the garage and become a basically nothing more than a shelf. He bought this car 8 years ago for 300 dollars hoping to make a dream out of it. He watches your show everyday sometimes 3 or four times. He will watch it as many times as it comes on. He is a hot rod enthusiast and the sweetest guy I have ever met. If there is any possibility at all we would appreciate this so much.
p.s. This car needs so much work it may be impossible

Hi Overhaulin'
My name is Samantha. I'm 19 years old and I live in Youngstown, OH. My boyfriend Drew is 21 and a huge motorhead. He can literally talk about motors and vehicles for hours on end. Drew has a '92 GMC Sierra 1500 that he wants to make into his dream truck. We've made countless trips out to the Summit Racing store so he can dream about what he wants to do to his truck. It's an automatic and he wants to convert it into manual and he wants MORE power. Unfortunately, he lacks the money and the time to be able to make his dream truck come true. This truck gets him to his job everyday so its hard for him to do any major mechanical work because he needs a working vehicle to get back and forth. I always say that I'm second best to the truck, but I've come to understand that to him its not just a truck, it's his passion, and I really admire that. He is such a hard worker and always seems to still fall short of his goals. He would definitely appreciate the help times 10.

Hey guys,
I don't have any hardships or handicaps to overcome, but my dad is one of the hardest working men in America. He has a 66 mustang that my mom bought for him a few years ago and he has been trying to get around to restoring it, the problem is he works 6-7 days a week at 2 different jobs. I have not been able to give my dad much more than morale support. If anyone is deserving of an overhaul it is him. He is a very respected man in our area, he gives anything he can to anyone that needs it. I think it is time for him to get back. Thanks.

Dear Chip & A-Team,

My name is adam joy, me and my whole family are HUGE fans of the show and all you guys. We live really close to the shop and sometimes walk by just to see if we can catch a glimpse of anything. My dad had an old 70 Chevy K2 Blazer and fixed and restored it to perfection, unfortunately some drunk teenager totaled it one night while he was alseep and it was parked in the drive way. He bought a new one a few years later when he could afford it, he never really made much money and now has horrible arthritis, which is why it sat forever in the drive way broken down untill my brother decided he wanted to fix it up and restore it himself. He got pretty far, but times got rough and he had to stop leaving it unfinished. My brother is one of the hardest workers i know, he had a son at the age of 19 and had to grow up really fast and support his new family. Times have gotten tough and he recently lost his job and home in arizona. We moved out here hoping to find some luck, and he is now working construction trying to make ends meet with a new baby girl on the way due on this friday actually. He says he might have to sell it because it isn't safe for his family and doesnt have the time or money to finish it and he has no place to keep it untill he can make it safe for them, but i know it would break his heart to do so. I know if he got this gift from you guys he would be the most grateful person in the world. Please give it some thought and thank you for taking your time to read my story.

Sincerely,
Adam Joy

Dear Overhaulin',
My mom has 1963 Studebaker Daytona Lark that needs a complete restoration. My now deceased grandfather gave it to her some time back and it has yet to reach the list of things to do. It would really be amazing to see the old thing back to looking nice again.

Hi,

My name is Ryan McQuoid I am 19 and I live in Angels Camp, Ca. My best friend's Father has a 1972 Ford F150. Originally it was my best friends truck, he bought it when he was 15 years old. He gave it to his father when he turned 18 because his father vehicles had all broke down and he had no money or capabilities to have a running vehicle. This truck bought from a rancher up here. When my friend was 17 the original motor(360cu in.) broke down and was expensive to fix. We sourced a 390cu in. motor for it that would drop in. The truck has the original three speed automatic and it is a pain. The truck gets 5-6mpg right now because going down the road at 55mph the rpm is around 7500 rpm. My friends father is working two jobs right now. He owns with his wife a small town restaurant in Murphy's called Foothill's Restaurant and he is also a Private Investigator. He was a Sheriff for this county for 25 years and he is very well known in this county. I believe he deserves this truck because he is now driving his sons Subaru wagon just to get to and from work. The truck has too many problems to daily drive and it costs too much on gas and expenses to drive. He and his son love this truck but since it started having problems it cannot be loved. I believe my best friends father deserves to be overhauled because he does so much but does not receive the benefits from his work. If you felt like he deserves to be overhauled as much as I do then get ahold of me through my cell phone. 925-301-7095. I think that if he had his truck overhauled it would change the way he is. When I first met him when I was 11 years old he was a very happy out going guy. Now it seems that he has almost given up on life because he works so hard but he cannot get ahead or have a reliable vehicle. The Subaru he is driving keeps breaking down too so he is just depressed all the time cause any spare money is spent on trying to just get a vehicle to run well enough to get him to work everyday.

Please help out my other Father. He has helped me out so much and I would really enjoy to help him out in a way that I do not have the capabilities or funds to do.

Thank You
Ryan McQuoid

My father has a 1973 Saab Sonett. When my family moved to Florida 15 years ago he found it and got it right away. He drove it for a few years but had to stop because he needed a larger car to fit my siblings and me in. He also had a shoulder surgery not long after and had a hard time driving for a while. The Saab has been sitting for a few years now and it is a shame for it to go to waste. My dad has always wanted to restore it to its original beauty, but we dont have the time or money to do any work on it. Any help would be appreciated, even from other people just reading this forum. If anybody has any parts for this rare car i would appreciate all the help i can get. Thank you again, Ben.

Overhaulin,

My name is Chelsea Guthier, I live in Dayton, Tx. My boyfriends name is Jarlen Maddon. We don't have any handicap or real hardship to overcome, we just don't have the time or money to make his dream car come to life. He has an '89 Pontiac Firebird, white with t-tops. He had wanted that car since he was about 7 or 8, the 3 years ago his dad bought it for him. Since then we have been pouring money into the car just to make it run. We can get it going for a little while but then something else happens. We change one thing out and it still doesn't fix it. We have been trying for 3 years now. This is his dream car, now we just need to get it running and looking good. He works so hard just to earn a dollar. He is 19 and started working for and eletrical company about a year ago and is now working in a plant. He is one of the hardest working people I know. He wants to make sure others have what they need before he has anything he wants or needs. Thats one reason we don't have the car running yet. And on top of it all he bought another car since he couldn't get it running, about a month ago he was in a wreck so now we are fighting to get that car back just so he doesn't have to drive his dads truck. So it is almost like it has been one thing after another thats keeping us from getting this car moving. I know he isn't a war vet, or anything like that, but it would be amazing if you guys could help me give him something. He has done so much for me and his family he really desirves this. Please help me in giving him what he has wanted since childhood. If you need to contact me my e-mail is jarlenchelsea06@aol.com or call our house phone 936-258-7846.

Thanks,
Chelsea Guthier

Hey,
I live in Barrington Illinois. I have a 1990 Cabriolet convertable that is slowly going into old car disease. The top is slowing gaining holes, the engine is holding oil, but leaking, and the interior is slowly ripping here and there (floor carpet) I'm not asking for an Over Haul, just some tips and companies that could help. I have little money, but the money i have would go towards my car.
thanks,
Alex.

Hello,
My girlfriend Jenn is the proud owner of a 1973 Monte Carlo (dubbed "Monty") that has seen far better days. The car was purchased new off the lot by her father when he was much younger. She took possession of the car nine years ago when she was 16.

A mishap while driving several years ago left the front end crushed and significantly damaged the bodywork along the driver side. The car was undrivable but Jenn ordered the necessary parts, (some of which were nearly impossible to track down) borrowed her father's tools and went to work. She rebuilt the entire front end, replaced a lot of bodywork and brought the car back to life. However, much of Monty's former glory was lost and he remains parked much of the time in limbo as neighbors complain, and tickets pile up.

This car could be beautiful, and the story of a beautiful girl rebuilding her dream car, inherited from her loving father would make for wonderful television. It would be exceedingly easy to acquire the car since it is under threat of tow on a daily basis anyway.

Please take the time to further review this case. I think you will find the makings of a great episode here.

Regards,
Sal Bellecci

Overhaulin,

My aunt has a '64 Chevy Impala (two door hard top) that she has had for over 25 years. For the past 15 years she has been wanting to fix it up, but has not been able to do much as she was a single mom caring for her four children. Now that her children are grown and out of the house, she is still struggling to get her car fixed since she has now been put on disability. It would be awesome to see you guys "overhaul" her car.
