Dear Overhaulin,
My son watches your show all the time, and he has a 2000 Ford Mustang that needs some work. he has wanted a mustang since he was a little kid, and now he finally got one for his first car. He loves his car and is always cleaning it and is always wanting to make improvements on it buy doesnt have the money and neither do we. i think it would be great if you would put his car on the show. and by the way, he said hes never seen his model of mustang on the show, so i think that would be a good idea to overhaul a car that you've never done.
thanks,
michelle gadd

my husbands truck is in need of a major overhaul. he has a 1978 Ford High Boy. it has a custom paint job (flames done with spray paint) and the interior is in pretty good shape as far as we know. it doesnt have too much body rust and it runs great for the most part. he has been wanting to fix it and make it nice for a long time we just dont have the money to put into it. our daughter always loves riding in daddys "big truck" she'd rather ride in it then any of our other cars. it would be great if someone could make this happen. thank you so much

Dear Overhaulin',
I have been wanting to write you all for a long time for my fathers sake. I am twenty years old, and I don’t know if anyone could have a better father. He is someone who never asks for anything and never accepts anything. He is known as a workaholic, always working on something around the house. We never have to hire professionals, only because my dad is the electrician, plumber, carpenter, and mechanic all in one. Not only is he always busy attending to the needs of the family, but he coaches pole vaulting at the local high school. He only started to coach because my sister wanted to do pole vaulting, so he fought the school board to get it in the track program. He has been coaching for eight years, and has not been paid for a single day. He volunteers all of his time, and it is all for the good of the team. When my father was in college he bought his dream car, a '71 TR6. Although it has not seen the road for more than ten years, he still keeps it around and refuses to get rid of it. If I could, i would get the car working for him again, but that is beyond my abilities, and I could not think of a better place to turn then Overhaulin’. If you would really considering helping me, and more importantly my father, I would be so thankful! Thank you! - Alyssa

Dear overhaulin,
Hi for the past couple of days i have been trying really hard to find your on the show but i have had no luck i search the web for the application for hours and get nothing it keeps telling that the page im looking for cannot be found. I would really ove to have my friend be on this show because after all thats happen to him in the past two years this would be the thing to turn things around for him even though it may seem like it on the outside to others who may know him that he is hoping that something good will happen to him..see about a little more than a year ago he was in a terrible car accident and it cause him to loose his job because of the injuries he got because of the accident.and because he lost his job he ws no longer able to have the money he need to work on his 1988 chevy camaro, he has been workin ever so hard to find himself a new job but he has had no luck at all. my friend has always love, since the tender age of 2 when he began watch his father work on his el camino. So please if you can help me get his car on the show it would me the world to him but more so to me to help to ease my mind tto know that he is going to be ok and show him that he is not alone and he doesnt have to do it alone either. Thank you ever so much

Dear Overhaulin' Team,
My father and I have been trying to restore his 1955 4 door sedan that he purchased in 1969 but due to him being dissabled from having to have 2 hips and 1 knee completely replaced we have been unable to finish the project due to finicial issues, and simply the fact that he can no longer kneel which make its very hard to finish. I am a full time student and try to work on the car as much as i can but i have a 1978 ford fairmont that i am in the process of restoring and its makes things very complicated to try to do both so please Overhaulin' help us out in any way that you can and it would be greatly valued. Also my email is hotroddinturtle@yahoo.com and i can send pictres of the current state of the project I would say it is about half done it was a body off and the body has been put back on the frame but after that he had the 3 major surguries and progress hulted.

70 'Cuda for a body man sound interesting??

Black with white AAR stripes? Come On!!

The first car my husband ever owned was a 70 'Cuda. He bought it when he was 14 and, of course, wrecked it when he was 17. Shortly after prices went sky high. Last winter he finally found one he couldn't pass up, a Sublime Green 440 car. He gets a lot of grief about wanting to paint it black, but he says "if your not going to sell it, it doesn't matter". Unfortunately, he works for a body shop all day, only to come home to restore muscle cars at night and on weekends in his own shop. This is not a sob story but the amount of work adds up quick and hardly leaves any time for sleep, let alone time for his own car. I've seen the idea for the paint on the car and I know it would make for a sweet car to do.
Thank you so much for your time,

Danielle

When is anyone from the Overhaulin' Admin here going to let some of the folks know the show was cancelled?
Look at all the people asking to have their relative/friends/etc cars overhauled?
Some are in dire straits and asking for some kind of reply.

BLESS ALL WHO SERVE!

Hi Overhaulin Guys!
My name is Ashlyn. My husband, Matthew, commissioned to the Air Force this May as a 2nd Lieutenant. We are currently stationed in Minot, North Dakota and plan on having to be here for a few years. We are both originally from central Pennsylvania, which is also where our families, friends, and memories still remain. I grew up as a small town, farm girl that has never moved, while Matthew grew up as an Air Force brat. His father served in the Air Force for 28 years before retiring to Pennsylvania.
Both Matthew and his father own Chevy Novas. Matthew has a '73 Nova SS and his father has a '68 Nova. Matthew's dad has owned his car for something like 30 years. He's been able to restore different parts of the car over the years but it is still in serious need of help! His father would actually be a great candidate for overhaulin' as well....
Matthew purchased a '70 Nova when he turned 16. He loved working on his father's nova and so wanted to carry that love into his first car. Unfortunately, he totaled the '70 not very long after he started driving. Even with the accident, Matthew was determined to own a nova, so he bought his current '73 Nova. Since then, he has been able to afford a few upgrades but has not been able to totally overhaul it the way he would like. It has been made even more difficult since we had to make the tough decision to leave it in Pennsylvania, while we moved half way across the country.
Matthew has been putting aside money and ideas for years but we are nowhere near being able to make this the car of his dreams. My dream is for Matthew to have the beautiful muscle car he deserves. He's always worked hard to make me happy and he now works hard to serve this country. I would love to see Matthew be able to show off the car he loves so much. To be able to go to car shows with his father and be proud of what he owns. I want him to have a car to maintain with his sons/daughters whenever they come along.
Please consider Matthew for an episode of Overhaulin'. We love your show and think what you do is definitely a work of art. It would be a dream come true for us to have that Nova be overhauled!
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Thank you,

Ashlyn Hall

Hi,my name is Marci & I am writing to tell you about my husband Chris. We have been married since 2004, second marriages for both of us. He is 37 years old with two children (from his first marriage). Since the day I met him all he talks about is the Mustang's he use to have. He talks about building them and racing them when he was younger. He has a great love for Mustangs and he had to sell his last car when he was 18, because he was becoming a father for the first time and needed the money. It was a great lose to him, but worth it at the time, because he had a beautiful new daughter to take care of. It's been 18 years since his last Mustang. When my husband an I got married we talked about getting him another Mustang, but unfortunately I was disabled from a back injury and had to stop working. So we had to rely on my husbands income only. This of course put his Mustang dream on hold once more. Last year we lost our home due to the recession. We had to move in with my mother until we get back onto our feet. My husband has always put everyone else first before his self and works so hard as a Heavy Equipment Foreman. I could see how hurt he was when we lost our home and wanted to do something for him, so I saved up some money and went and bought him a 1998 Mustang about a month ago. He is the happiest I have seen him in years! I know he loves his new car, but I also know he would love to make alot of changes to it and it will take him years to do it, because we don't have the money. He watches your show faithfully and loves Mr. Foose!!! This would be the greatest gift I could ever give him and he deserves it more than anybody! Please make my husbands dream come true and make over his 98 Mustang. We live in Annapolis, Maryland. I'm not sure if you come to our town or not, but I hope so. My number is 410-267-7727

Hey Chip, Chris and OverHaulin' Crew,
My name is Melissa Chantel Griffenberg and I have always loved your show. Just seeing the looks on the "Mark"'s faces always makes me smile. My best friend, Cory, and his father, Daren, have been going through a real tough time these past few years. Daren just recently lost his job and they both still cant find a job for steady living. Cory has had a tough time with his last 4 cars, all of which barly lasted a year. His most prized vehical would have to be his light blue 1970 dodge D-100 Sweptline. Unfortunatly he doesn't have the money to fix it up or the money to even fill it up with gas to drive it. It would be a true dream come true if you could help me to help him and get his truck OverHauled.

Thank you so much and please consider it,
Melissa Chantel Griffenberg

My brother and I just lost our father to prostate cancer. This request is on behalf of my brother who really deserves overhauling as explained below. For a little background, Dad was a self taught mechanic who worked hard his entire life. His first love has always been cars and was an auto mechanic in the 60-70’s. However, he had to go to work in factories to provide for his family, which he did without complaint despite a bad back that required multiple surgeries over the years. He always had a project car in his garage and we would help as kids. In 1985, he bought his first and last new vehicle, a Chevy Pick-Up, step side. He put well over 400K miles on the truck, rebuilt the engine a couple of times, lowered it, painted it a few times, and put a replacement crate motor in it a few years ago. When Dad’s sister died of lung cancer, she left Dad her 66 T-Bird, which was parked in a field with rats and other vermin living inside. He spent his last years restoring the T-Bird, which is about 90% complete. All that is left is a little body work as the guy who did the body work failed to get all the rust before painting and some electrical issues. About 5 years ago, Dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Over the last year, Dad’s cancer spread throughout his body and we watched as Dad lost weight and as it became more and more difficult for him to move around. A few months ago, Dad’s cancer got so bad he could no longer eat solid food or get out of bed. He went downhill very fast at that point and he went into home hospice care.

About this time, Ashley and I started our own separate small businesses. However, because of Dad’s condition and the fact that his wife is disabled and wheelchair bound, we had to take time away from our businesses to care for Dad, who lived over 2 hours from either of us. Ashley and I took shifts so there was always one of us at Dad’s bedside until the day he died. This was tough for both of us as we watched Dad waste away, watching him as he could no longer swallow, losing weight to the point he looked like a skeleton with skin, and having to give him his medicine through his rectum. We were both by his side as we watched him take his last breathe.

Before Dad passed and went into hospice care, he gave his truck and the T-Bird to me and Ashley. Since Ashley has a garage and a house, he is caring for both vehicles. The T-Bird does not hold much sentimental value but the truck does since my brother and I helped work on it with Dad most of our lives.

As for my brother, he was great in dealing with Dad’s illness and was really there for him. In addition, he has had to deal with a wife who has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Her disease is not debilitating at this point but has been a big adjustment and she will need increasing help as time goes on.

Ashley is a passionate man of over 6’3” and well over 250 pounds. He was a Marine in Desert Storm. He is outspoken and funny and would be a great victim for a prank. We are planning on selling the T-Bird to finance restoring the truck.

If you pick my brother and overhaul our father’s 1985 Chevy Pick-Up, we will donate the T-Bird to cancer research.

My older sister Janet Shaffer has my father's 1936 Dodge pickup. I am 47 years old and he kept it all the years I was home and never was able to afford to restore it. When I was 18 my sister traded my dad another vehicle for it with not only with the intent to restore it with her new husband, but also to keep it in the family. This was in 1980, and over the years my sister has had multiple set backs in the the restoration process (lack of funds due to multiple chronic illnesses with her sons, and family.) Here we are 20 years later and the truck is 3/4 the way done, motor rebuilt, body stripped, seats recovered, but the truck isn't completely restored. She was going to sell the truck to me and my husband who have the mechanical abilities to finish the truck, but at this point in our life we are traveling for work and have no time. We really want it done! Not for us as adult children, but in the memory of our father, who gave 6 years of his life to the USA in World War II, and endless days of hard labor to care for his 5 children unselfishly. Please consider our application, as it would be most definitely appreciated by all 5 of us children and my sister Janet who has given the most time and effort to complete what is done so far. Jill Hannemann 541-325-3256. The truck is located in Keizer, Oregon inside a nice warm garage...clean and tidy.

Dear Overhaulin Crew,
My husband is currently deployed with the Air Force and will not be back until Jan 2010. His 91 civic he had was stolen and totaled. He got that car f08 $800 and spent all his free time trying to fix it up; He had rebuilt the motor two times in less than one year. So then He found a guy that was having some financial difficulties and had to sell a project truck (98 s10 extended cab W/ 2002 Tahoe 5.3L). He really wants to fix this truck up but he just does not have the time and we don’t have the money he will need to do it the right way. He loves watching your show. Cool

Thank you,

Hey guys and gals of
Overhaulin,
My wife and I just bought my 15 year old son a project car. It's a 1968 Mustang! He is in love with it. I thought it would fun to make him think we have to sell the car and really get it restored to the hot rod status he wants.

Thanks for the consideration,

Ken Ottaway Sr.
