Dear A Team,
My name is Tiffany, and I'm 18 years old. I live in Kingman, Arizona. Me and my dad are huge fans of the show and LOVE what you do with the vehicles. My brother Eric and I always talk about how cool it would be if we got my dad's car on the show. He has a '79 Chevy Camaro Rally Sport that just kinda sits in the yard. It still runs ok I guess, but it would be the coolest EVER if the car could be brought back to life, especially by Chip and the rest of the A team. My dad bought the car brand new, and has had the thing longer than he has had anything in his life. When I was about 8 or 9, I always used to love watching him fix it up, but over the years things have kinda gone bad.

My parents got a divorce and things just haven't been the same. My mom moved to Prescott, and I wanted to stay here with my dad. He has been out of work for a while, because the Ford Proving Grounds in Yucca shut down a few years ago. He took the retirement package, but he only gets one check a month, which barely covers the things needed. My brother Eric, who is 21, works as a corrections officer and helps out as much as he can. Right now, he drives a nice F-150. Then again, not really, because my car took a crap and now, my dad just lets me drive his truck, and he has no way to get around unless I'm home.

The three of us live with my grammy in her 2 bedroom apartment. It's pretty small, but we make due. Recently, I sorta pulled a Parent Trap kinda thing, and now my parents are talking again and things are going great. I guess sometimes mischievousness pays off, right?

My Dad always used to talk about all the fun times him and my mom had in the car, and i got to thinking that maybe if me and my bro could make his car look like new, possibly that might make my parents feel like new again.

I'm a pretty big car enthusiast myself, and I couldn't even imagine what that car could look like if you guys got a hold of it.

Dear Overhaulin' Crew,

My name is Kim, and my husband, Chris, is a big fan of the show and what you do for people. He is a car nut and has always had a dream of starting his own custom shop. Chris is an excellent mechanic, with no formal education yet(I say yet because he has applied at and gotten accepted to UTI several times, but never been able to afford to move down to the school) and he is ALWAYS working on someone's car/truck.
Chris and I have been together for seven years and happily married for five. He works very hard, and doesn't make very much. His 1978 Malibu has been under constant construction for four years now. He has rebuilt the same engine in that car at least three times, swapped it out for different engines five or six times, and always gone back to what is in the car now, a flourescent green and black chevy 350. (He LOVES that color combination, he even painted his motorcycle black with green striping and I have to admit, it has grown on me.)
Chris's best friend Jake was an integral asset to every engine swap. He was always willing to be the extra muscle needed, parts monkey, or help with anything at all. Jake was just as excited as Chris about this car and was always talking about it. Unfortunately, Jake died on Halloween of 2009. Now having the Malibu finished is even more important, in honor of Jake.
We have never been able to afford expensive parts for his car, but he always seems to find what he is looking for. If someone has an engine/car part he needs, he will do work for the person to get the part from them. He does all the work on his car, as well as mine(I tell my mom that marrying Chris was an economically responsible decision) although he is not a professional yet, he learns as he goes, and his Malibu has been a test bed for alot of his theories and education. the car doesn't look like much, but it sounds very mean. The car is very fast, which puzzles a lot of people, because he drives the car like any other car. He is a very respectful and safe driver, and loves his cars too much to abuse them. But he is a firm believer in driving his cars. if it were a fully restored Chevelle(his other favorite car), he would absolutely drive it.
Long story short, I believe that my husband deserves an overhaul of his 1978 Chevy Malibu. He has big plans for the car, and I have no doubt that he will one day accomplish his goals, but he has come to realise that his love for his family will make sure that his Malibu will still be under construction for a long time.

Please Help,
Kimberly Skeens

Dear Overhaulin,
My Husband watches your show all the time....He has a 1965 Chevy stepside that he bought from his Dad in 2006. His Dad originally bought it from his uncle in 1967, so it has been in the family since it was new. He bought it from his Dad so that he could fix it and make it look brand new..Unfortunatly he has not had the funds to do so..We own our own business and with the economy being so bad we just cant afford to do this...He has been really down lately because of the stress of our business and trying to keep work for our employees..He really needs something to brighten his day..He works really hard and always puts others before himself..I would really appreciate it if you would consider his truck for one of your projects....Thank You...God Bless

Dear Overhaulin' Crew,

My name is Jennifer and I am writing you to tell you about my husband's 83' Chevy S-10 Blazer 4x4. Lets just say its barely drivable. He was a truck driver and he bought this truck initially for me but has taken over it by trying to fix everything but ever since he had lung surgery, plus his back going out he wasn't able to finish fixing it. He trys but after 30 minutes he starts hurting and has to stop. I try to help but I know nothing about trucks so I'm no help. I would really like for you to overhaul his truck so he can enjoy it the way he wants to. We have seen your show and we haven't seen you do a blazer yet so it would be a new thing for you to do. Thank you for your consideration hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Critcher

Dear Overhaulin,
I am writing on behalf of my husband Gary, he is a classic car appraiser, and restorer. He has 3 chevys, a 56 210, a 57 4 door that he chopped and is in the process of making into a 2 door. And his baby is a 57 chevy Belair, which he has had since he was a teen. He did the cars after work as his hobby, many times late into the night. In April of 2008 he was diagnosed with Multiple Myleomia, a cancer of the plasma in the blood. He has ungone chemo and radiation for a year and a half, this summer he has ungone a stem cell transplant. Due to his immune system being compromised he is not allowed to work on the cars, because of the rust and dirt of 50 year old cars. I would love to surprise him and have you overhaul the 57 Belair. He would just flip out if you did that. Or perhaps you want to challenge yoursels and do 3 fifty year old cars at a time? LOL So if you decide to come east to New York I have the perfect 57 Belaire for you to overhaul, and I know exactally how he wants to do the car..
Thank you for your time

Dear Overhaulin,
I'm honestly not sure this is how you apply for your show but it's worth a shot. My husband and I are big fans of your show by the way!
I would like to nominate my husband for your show. He's only had his driver license since he was 21 and he received his very first car from his dad when he was 23, not too long after coming back from a Marine Expeditionary Unit in Japan. The car he got is a 1989 Ford Bronco II and it has been passed down to all of the boys in his family and finally ended up with him.
My husband and I recently got married a year ago and since then the Marine Corps has moved us up near Washington DC. Surprisingly the Bronco is still running and it is my husbands prized possession and he treats it like his baby. I would give anything to restore the Bronco for my husband before he has to go back overseas. He really deserves it. He does so much not only for myself but for our country and I feel it's the least I can do to thank him. So on this veterans day please consider my husband for Overhaulin. Thank you!

1992 Cadillac Sedan Deville. Hi! My name is Lisa and I am writing to you in the hopes that you could please help me to make my sons dream of restoring their POP'S dream car back to its original beauty. My father was a wonderful man with amazing principles and he was a wonderful role model and a hero to both my sons , Nick(12) and Alan Michael(21).He taught them that its not important to own a brand new car or even an expensive car its just important that you are proud of what you have and that you always take care of what you care about. In 2000 my dad bought his used Cadillac and took care of it like you have seen no one else take care of a car. Living in Fl. at the time it did not face the cruel elements of harsh winter weather. However in 2oo4 to make my moms wish of moving back to Fulton N.Y my dad and my husband and kids moved to the north. My mother had gone through a lot in her life and had a debilitating stroke and my dad being the man he was wanted my mom to be back home in Fulton. However fate played a cruel trick on all of us and my dad after only living back in his home town for 2 years passed away with acute myeloid leukemia within 2 wks of becoming sick. My sons promised their pop they would always take care of his car and they have always washed, waxed and cleaned the interior never since. Unfortunately because of its age and because of all the harsh winter elements the car is falling apart and we cannot afford to fix it the way it deserves to be. Over the years my dad did what he could afford to keep it nice but even though it was his pride and joy it was never totally restored to what it was when it was new. Now it has weathered failing paint, leaking windows, lot of rust in the structure of the vehicle, it burns some oil, chrome is all discolored and weathered. Its really falling apart and its like watching something we love that their pop loved disintegrate in front of our eyes. They watch your show all the time and the other day I walked in when they were watching it and it was if my dad whispered in my ear to write to you for help. Both my sons are wonderful boys. They help take care of their grandma, they landscaped my dads cemetery and help take care of it. My younger son won 4 Merry Go Round Playhouse writing awards for 2 poems he submitted about his pop. This would mean the world to them to see my dads car restored to all its glory. We then could try to find a place to store it for winter and they could keep a piece of their pop forever. Please, help their wish become a reality. Thank you, Lisa Emrich.

Dear Overhaulin,

My name is Shauna and my boyfriend, Ken, has a 1977 Buick Regal. When we met that was all he talked about. He named his car Bessie. Well at first i was really jealous of this car. He had put so much work in to his car. Well about a little over a year now, he and I have moved in together and it is two hours from our new home. When he moved he left the car behind with the intent of going back to get it. Well so much started happening and he hadn't been able to take care of "Bessie". So many people have offered to buy his car but he is not having that. Every single time he goes home, he is doing something with his car. One time I remember he cried.

Ken really loves this car and I want to do whatever I can to help him out with the car. I believe he is giving up but I feel if you work hard for something never give up. If I could have one wish, it would be for you guys to bring Bessie back to Ken. I would greatly appreciate it. He truly deserves to be overhauled. He has been through so much. He feels as if nothing good happens for him. Please please please select Ken to be Overhauled!!!

Hey Overhaulin' Crew,

My name is Bryan Herrick and I work as a Probation Officer way out in a remote area of Western Alaska. I have spent my Veteran's Day holiday indulging in an Overhaulin' marathon and lovin' every minute of it. Desperate times require desperate measures. I moved to Alaska a year ago from Southern California for this job. I had to leave my wife and three sons behind for the time being. I am really close to those 3 little boys and this has been a really difficut time for all of us. The one bright and shinning part of this unfortunate situation has been my brother-in-law, Eric. He has taken on the roll of "Dad" in my absence has been there for my boys when I can't and I just love him for it. When you meet him you will meet a very unique individual, both inside and out. A couple of years ago, a "friend" of his was going through a rough time financially and Eric put him to work restoring his 1968 Pontiac Firbird. The paint turned out sick and it was really a beautiful thing. A couple of years later the wheel wells and body began rusting out from terrible prep and he has been devistated about it ever since. The car has been in the family for over 30 years and nothing would be more awesome than for you guys to go in and Overhaul this thing. Thank you so much for your consideration and I hope to hear from you soon.

Dear Overhualin,
Please help my husband with his 1991 ford explorer, It has been hit in the rear by a backhoe and one of the back glass pieces is broken out and the motor is shot. We have been trying to fix it up but he goes out of his way to help other people with their cars and has not had the time to work on his own! It would mean the world to him and myself if it could be fixed up to its former glory. Please overhaul his ride and make his dream come true!! sincerely, Jasmine (479)445-9085

Hi all,

My name is Laura Schaefer and my fiance, Dave Wellnitz, has a truck thats needs some work. His '78 Chevy 350, half ton, step side, short box has been down since I met him over 4 years ago. Not more then three monthes ago he got it on the road but for some reason it won't turn over now. Its been his baby and he wanted to turn it into a show truck. Started some body work on it but it was just too much for him.

He's a great guy and I want to get his truck fixed for him. He won't get rid of it even tho it takes up room in the garage or the driveway. He's a special man who deserves something big. And i know you all would be able to do that for him. Please, please come and overhaul my fiances truck. You'll never forget it.

Contact me at jayne85@gmail.com. Thank you.
Laura
