are you talking about just normal people getting trained as special ops guys?

yup. wannabes trying to make it into the career fields.

so would the prize be joining the military and getting to try to join an elite unit like the rangers or green berets.

Obviously you can't "win" a spot in special ops.

Not a competition between others... just a documentary/reality style show on individual prior service or non-prior service guys while they prepare/go through indoc.

so basically a bunch of guys go through special ops training for fun. i would do that. which special ops group's training would you use?

Not sure if you've seen this, but there is an online show of something very similar. It is called SOCOM: US Navy Seals Hell Week. They take video game players from SOCOM and put them through "Navy Seals training". Now the training they put them through is pretty pathetic, I doubt it's very similar to what real Navy Seals have to endure. Anyways here is a link to these episodes.

Now I do think it would be interesting to see some ordinary put through the real Spec-Ops training, but I doubt it will be done.
