Ok this is a little off and I apologize before hand. There is the short 15 sec commercial about military.discovery.com etc.. It starts off with only guitar notes.. and then hits some hard rock and base etc.. it shows soldiers marching and other misc military and says check out military.discovery.com etc..

Does anyone know the name of tha actual song clip being used or the artist maybe?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

unfortunately no.. I never got any information on it...I am hoping omeone who recognizes it still comes forth and posts it.. it's a great Military Theme beat.

I have been trying to find out this information for a while. Does anyone know? I am dying to know... well, not literally dying but I really must. Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to find this as well, I email'd MC's customer relations on it but they don't have info in their database about the music they use - Hope we / someone finds it soon, sounds like a jam and I'd like to know the artist...

I have spoken to several people at the Discovery Channel and they know nothing.

I have asked people around the Internet for help but no one knows from where the music comes.

Best bet is that it is a commissioned piece. Now, all we need to do is find out what artists have commissioned work for the station. I found one... Kenneth-Michael Veltz. I don't think he is the person who wrote it (seems out of his style) but you never know. There is actually one song on his site that begins similarly to the commercial, and several songs that have a similar progression.

it's funny how a simple song off a motivating commercial can drive a young man CRAZY! i just saw the commercial about 10 minutes ago...stupid cable...any luck on artist or song name info?

No luck. No one at the network can or is willing to tell me anything. So, we are at a loss until the artist decides to tell us.

I too am looking for this song. I am an older guy and it reminds me of an old grunge band that I used to go see in the early 90's called GLOW. I have one of their self-released CD's somewhere in my house. I'll try to find it and if I can I'll try to get the song that I'm thinking of available to you guys. I know that the song from the commercial is not GLOW but it's VERY VERY similar to one of their songs. I hope the CD isn't too scratched up when I find it. He-he.

there is always the possibility that that particular piece was made specifically for that commercial, and does not exist outside of it, as it may have been composed for it, and it alone.

Hey guys...I came here hoping to find out the name of the song too, but it looks like we are all on the hunt.
I would be willing to bet it all on the fact that it is Korn,(The Army used Godsmack for all of their commercials the last few years) I am a metal fan and it is Jonathan Davis' style and sounds exactly like "Fieldy" who plays the 5 sting bass in the band. I just cannot confirm it. I want the song !!

seriously, i wanted to know this for months now. I was watching the channel last night and heard the damn song again. I checked out the site extrememusic.com and couldnt find it. I wonder if anybody could find out who actually worked on the editing for the commercial, then we could probably get an answer.

This is driving me nuts, i really like that song.

This is the only useful thread among Google, Dogpile etc. There is a useless answer on Wiki-Answers, but nothing helpful.

It would be nice to know WHO did this song. The artist(s) did a great job and there are obviously a lot of people who would like to know/hear/(pay) more about the music.
