Weeks ago I posted a message here, pointing out a blatant error in the thesis of 'RAID ON THE REACTOR'. Yet it continues to be broadcast.

The Israeli raid on the Iraqi nuclear reactor was not unprecedented, as your show states. The first air strike on this facility was performed by Iranian F4D fighter-bombers, months before it was hit by IDF F16's. While this is not well known, it is easily fact checked through a variety of sources.

I'm left to conclude that the Military Channel has little regard for military science and historical accuracy.

You've lost me as a viewer of all your Discovery broadcasts.

For me they are losing a viewer, because I have seen everything they are showing that I was interested in and they have no new programing. Same thing over and over again.

US Vet,

If you listened closely you would have heard that they mentioned Iran tring to take out that reactor. It was a short thing but it was there. That whole show was about Isreal not Iran sowhy would they mention that? One has nothing to do with the other while it was worth mentioning it.

So take a breather and relax Smile

I do agree that they are showing the same thing over and over again. Having DVR helps alot but still, it is getting old fast. I can understand that there may not be ALOT of programs but that is why they pay ppl the big bucks to come up with show ideas. I mean heck, where are shows about the Civil War and Revolutionary War? Those would make for good shows I think. I think shows about the Civil War would be a big hit, alot of re-enacting out there for that. Not that I am into that but I would watch it for sure Wink

If a person that works for the channel (mod)reads this please reply. I am not even sure if they do? Confused

I can tell you having cut several shows for many networks.... The networks "budget" for shows (at least cable networks) continues to shrink.. regardless of the advertising monies they pull in. Those that suffer are the producers who are commissioned to make the show, and the viewers who ultimately are bored with the quality.

Military Channel, including all parts of Discovery Communications, and other cable networks don't understand the saying "you get what you pay for". There are a TON of good ideas out there, but ultimately... it depends on the delivery of the show concept, and the execs that think it will get the ratings.

I have found MC to be quite staid with its programming. I think DCI should just stick to one channel and focus on quality, accuracy, and paying good money to get GOOD SHOWS!

Great channel that I watch regularly. I especially like it when they show other military programming, "Wings of the red star" for example. Perhaps more international programming could be in order. As active duty Canadian Airforce, and considering we get this channel on cable here, maybe some shows on our contribution to the last century. Contrary to the BS left wing propaganda, we are not a nation of nice guy peacekeepers....we have been involved in just about every conflict that has threatened world security. War of 1812, Boar War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Kosovo, and now Afghanistan. We do have a huge military tradition, unfortunetly that gets forgotten because we are a mouse sleeping next to an elephant.

Ok I agree with a lot of what you say. How ever it’s not all the shows it’s when they show them it’s like a big mess. For instance battle front great show but they play the same ones over and over. Why not start from the beginning and every Tuesday night play 2 back to back until it’s done. Like you all said there is a lot of good shows they can use like world at war and century of war fare instead of advertising them just play them.
Another good show was made by pbs I think it was Vietnam the complete history.
The shows are out there they just need a better programmer. I would do it for free just to get some good shows on there. I just can’t get enough war docs. odie441 check out history international it some times has good docs.

"..Another good show was made by pbs..."

You may be thinking of "The Ten Thousand Day War".. an oustanding series about the Vietnam confilct.

On another note, I am baffled by how many commecial spots are for DCI shows and not for products. Surely even a paid-for ad, even heavily discounted, would be preferable to zero revenue at all.

Great network but I too am getting tired of the repeats.

I love the Military Channel, the History Channel and Discovery Channel. These are the first channels I look to as soon as I turn on the TV.I know they show the same material over and over again but I never get tired of watching and learning about WWII. My only question is why aren't there more specials on the Pacific Theatre of WWII. I love that whole area of action. I wish they had a question and answer show with experts to discuss various questions submitted by viewers. I asked the same question to the Great Course Series people and they said more people are interested in the European theater. I have mostly all their lecture series tapes which are well done but I wish they and the TV channels would devote the same enthusiasm for the Japanese codes, attack plans, military campaigns, battles, principal players and America's response.

Over the 4th of July I was viewing Comcast ON DEMAND. I found this gread series of videos on the American Revolutionary War. I would like to purchase the series!

I hope to never visit your channel again. Your web site is a mess. Please let me know How I can purchase the series. At home I have Direct TV. I will look to see if you offer on demand for this series when I get home. I only got to see the 1st two of 15? They were great. You Comcast implementation ON DEMAND seems to stored in the menu like the Lost Arc in the movie "Indiana Jones ....."
