Just wondering: is the military channel actually supposed to be a serious discussion of things military or a fancy recruitment poster for the US military?

And what is all this about "our" troops?

Discovery distributes itself to the world via TV and internet but runs features like "our" world consists of the US only.

My grandfather served with NZ troops in Italy during World War II and lost a middle finger to shrapnel (I like to say it was him being cheeky to Nazis). Almost alone amongst comrades, he refused to attend post-dawn parade ANZAC celebrations because "war is nothing to celebrate."

Discovery's military channel is nothing else but - a disgraceful celebration of a military industrial complex that places profits before people - including your heroes. In doing so, Discovery shareholders belittle the sacrifice made by former and current generations.

Are you, Discovery, not the least bit shy?

if they want to keep old fans they should do the first. But since they need new audience and financial support, they do the second.

Commercials for reconnect america - please, please, please, change the music. That emotional tune is good only to hear once or twice a year, not every 5 frikkin' minutes
