I want to know how you have memorialized Flower.
For example, everyone here's heard of Nintendos right? Nintendogs? Okay, the next dog I get is going to be named Flower.
What about you guys?

I am searching for a great headshot of Flower similar to the one they show on JE when they say "the desert has lost its favorite rose" and I am going to get it tattooed on my left shoulder with her name and year of her birth and death that way I will never forget about the little meerkat who taught me about love, loyalty, and courage and to see how we forget we are one of many animals we are not better just because we are human animals

I adopted a Meerkat from Fellow Earthlings in Morongo Valley, CA. in Flower's honor. I will be visiting next year with my husband and hopefully Meerkata will be joining us. I will also donate additional $$ in Flower's honor when I am there. I will be donating some money to the researchers as I want them to continue their wonderful research of these incredible animals. This will help with all meerkats as well as Flower's legacy.

I too adopted a Meerkat from FE as did my daughter and we will be going for our visits next year. I have 2 spots open for each visit and was considering asking for a $25. donation from the 4 others to go and giving that extra $50. to FE to help out since they only make $6.00 per adoption. Does that sound like a fair request to you all?

And as soon as I can have it, there will be in a wall in my bedroom a big pic or photo of her, so that I can see Flower every day and night.

It has hard to believe that her real one year anniversary is almost here. Does anyone have any plans to memorialize her on that date 1-27-08? If so, whatcha got planned? I can't join you all as I'd like to, but that day, from Buenos Aires, there will be words, a picture, snuggles, groomings, & kisses in my Burrow for her and to all...

Also, since FLower's death on Journey's End, I have bought the Flower book and the Flower Memorial Book. The picture on front of the memorial book has her picture, so everyday I come into the room and see her beautiful face looking back at me. She was truly an amazing creature. I love that picture. It is the one where she is laying down and has her head up and looking right at the camera. Just Beautiful!

I know a way we can all keep the memory of sweet Queen Flower going strong. On Animalplanet.com, they have the 'vote for your favorite meerkat', right? Well, Mitch, Mozart, Zaphod, and even Rocket Dog were voted over her!I think she deserves better than that! So please, vote for her. It's something everyone can do and it will help her rise through the ranks like she should. Don't get me wrong, I like Zaphod and Mitch. I mean, they're nice little guys and all, but they are not better than Flower. Rocket Dog and Mozart aren't that special. Please, vote for her. FLOWER RULES!
