Before the foundation of the world was formed, this is what GOD said to Flower:
Bible-Chapter 1, Verse 21: And GOD created great whales and every living creature that moveth...
Verse 22: And GOD blessed them, saying, be fruitful and multiply...
Verse 24: And GOD said, let the earth bring forth the living creature, after his kind, cattle, creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind, and it was so.
Verse 25: And GOD made the beast of the earth after its kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind; and GOD saw that it was good.
Verse 31: And GOD saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
GOD commanded everything he created, including man, to be fruitful and multiply. Flower did just that. Unfortunately or fortunately, my favorite episode, one of many and Flower's last, was the one where she adopted a Zappa pup (Axel) that had been stranded by his family, unheard of in Meerkat "life". It just goes to show us that even animals can love their enemies. Just as GOD created and then adopted us for his own glory, Flower not only kept GOD's commandment to be fruitful and multiply with her own litter, but as a testament to her loving nature, she adopts a helpless pup from the enemy camp to further the continuance of the Meerkat species every where. HOORAY to Flower, for she has gone back to the One who created her for her final rest! Good job Flower, good job!!

All God's creatures are beautiful. But Flower I feel was one of his proudest creations....................... Reminds me of that song by the Backstreet Boys--God must a spent a little more time on you........
"In all of creation All things great and small You are the one that surpasses them all More precious than Any diamond or pearl They broke the mold When you came in this world And I'm trying hard to figure out Just how I ever did without The warmth of your smile."
"How can it be that right here with me There's an angel? It's a miracle.......... When I look into your eyes I know that it's true God must have spent... A little more time On you...
Ok now I am crying again.......

Thank you. Thommiegirl, for your beautiful tribute to Flower...she will certainly live on in the hearts of all of us. As you said "even animals can love their enemies", someone stated in another forum that 'we should all be like Flower and it would be a much better world to live in', after all, isn't that what God meant when he said "love thy neighbor"?
Thank you, again.

I'm glad these verses of scripture are helping us all to cope with the loss of Flower. Here's another.
John 15:13 No greater love hath a man, than to lay down his life for a friend.
As I posted in another reply, we might as well give these animals human thought patterns since they have names and the narrator speaks as though he knows their thoughts.
The highest honor that GOD gives a person (or animal) who lays down his life for another is to bring them home to live with him. What a treat!
Flower certainly laid down her life for friends and family and I know GOD welcomed her with open arms saying "Well done my good and faithful servant, well done!!"

Thank-you Thommiegirl for bringing God back into perspective as the Creator of us all, lest us humans forget!! As I posted on her tribute page, 1 Corinthians 1:27 But God has chosen the the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and the weak things of the world to confound the strong.
God used Flower well to demonstrate the strength and leadership roles of the family unit. I believe everyone who watched this show, was enriched and blessed with a greater understanding of family, taught to us by a tiny 12 inch, beautiful creature of God.

Love your screen name godsearth. How many times in the scriptures do we see GOD using animals to get His point across? The foolish and weak things to confound the wise.
Ravens, a whale, a donkey, doves, and yes even a snake. I would have to believe that if GOD were still writing the Bible in modern times, He would have to put Flower in there to teach us a lesson about strength, endurance, patience, and most of all love. Isn't it strange that GOD said love thine enemies and the greatest testament of love is to lay down your life for a friend? Flower did both of those things on her last day on earth. Wow!!

My Sister in Christ, God is the Author of Life and He has written everyday as it comes. We are still living out the pages already written. So in answer to your question, He still does!!

Hi everyone: I'm so glad you love this tribute. And the greatest thing is, that I didn't write it. GOD did and that's what makes it special.
He used ravens, donkeys, and doves to get his points across in the scriptures. Who says he can't use a Meerkat named Flower in this day and age.
I miss Flower even though I never personally knew her. But she taught me so much about life's struggles, heartaches and triumphs. She made me remember some of the struggles in my own life that made the person I am today. I love that about GOD. He'll use the simplest, little things of this world to confound the wise.

Thank you for your praise of Flower, and the scriptures were right on. I cried when she left us........it still hurts. She was such a beautiful little creature; she and her family. My family loves the Meerkats and it's a Sunday favorite. We cheer when they survive an attack and cry when one of the meerkat family dies.We ALL have to share this space here on this little ball hanging out here in space and we're loosing so many of the wonderful creatures . We need to stay aware that we must SHARE this planet, and protect our animals and their habitats. Hopefully these tiny little furry cuties will never become endangered.

Thank you for this. Really.
It's funny, the world is so big and scary. I get caught up in worrying about things that are so beyond my control. I worry about people I don't know, and global catastrophes that I can't stop.
And somewhere, in the Kalahari there was a foot-tall Meerkat who didn't worry. She just met every day. She took care of her family. And at the end of her days, she protected them and laid down her life for them. She acted the part of the Good Samaritan, and loved her neighbor. Flower lived her life, and lived it well.
I hope someday I can be more like Flower.

Hi 145krz:
I'm glad GOD's words comfort you and all of us. I also believe that when a person or animal gives their life for someone else; GOD allows them to feel no pain at the point of death. That's why it's the highest honor to give your life for a friend as said in the scriptures. John chapter 15, verse 13.
Even though it may seem like they are in pain, they are not. When 911 happened, those heroic people on the planes that were trying to get to the terrorists; at the point of impact, I believe they were looking into heaven before they knew what was happening.
The same for Flower. I believe the moment she took that bite, and because she gave her life for family and friends; GOD allowed her little spirit to come home to be with him before she knew what happened! GOD is sovereign like that.

Thank you. I have had many people laugh at me, even my own daughter (who is a Christian),and tell me that she was only an animal. I think you put it on record that she was not "just an animal". I miss her and still mourn for her. She is now the wallpaper on my computer and will be for quite a while.

Hi Umatilla:
You can have your daughter read the scriptures pertaining to how GOD valued and used animals to get his points across to mankind. He used ravens to feed the prophets, he used a whale to save a people that didn't even love Him, he used a donkey to bring His only begotten son into Jerusalem, he used a dove to signify the coming of the Holy Spirit, and countless other stories of animals being used by GOD. The most important one is the saving of "all animal life" when the BIG flood came and Noah was told to save a male and female of every creature.
GOD uses the simple things of this world to confound the wise and little Flower was a little thing with a big job; to show love not only for her family but for her enemies and the Meerkat species' very existence.

I have not been on for awhile and I had to come back to this thread because of one reason, and that is God.
Tommiegirl, thank-you for your witness, thank-you for showing yourself to me and the others who posted in this thread our belief in Our Heavenly Father, the Creator of all life.
After the show this week about Mozarts death, I again found myself crying and I asked myself why am I so upset about all of this and I have come to one conclusion.
The state of the world is such a mess, it is an ugly, dark place and it is going to get much worse. It saddens me that so many people are blind to the depravity that runs rampant and evil abounds. Evil itself is the lack of God. I feel terrible for anyone who has not come to accept Saving Grace.
Why I get so upset by these little animals and all of God's Creatures that man subjects horrrible cruelty to and is forcing many animals to the brink of extinction is basically this: they are the only things left on this earth that is pure. I am ready for Our Lord Jesus Christ to return. When I am completely broken and deeply touched by the death of a Meercat, just lets me know the time is drawing nearer.
Behold I stand at the door and knock.

Thommiegirl,
I also believe when 911 happened and those poor souls who had jumped from the WTC to escape the burning inferno, that the Good Lord in His Infinite Mercy took their Spirit before their body ever hit the ground. That is our Loving Father who extends His Compassion and Mercy on His Children.....

Hi Godsearth: Glad you are back. We need as much positive postings as we can get. Thanks also to Christopher969; we'll get through this together.
Astronomydomine, this is not a scary thread. But if you don't have hope in GOD or man, then yeah, you should be scared.
I also don't believe, as is said in another thread that Mozart's death was staged; and you have to go to that thread to converse on that subject. I don't believe that man is that cruel to stage something like that. We may not have the whole truth but killing animals just for show ratings; don't believe it!!

Actually astronomydomine, everyone on this thread shares my views and have their own. That's why they came here. No one is discussing religion and/or politics. We are memorializing Flower and Mozart in our own way.
So I would say the same thing to you. If you don't share our views, then keep your mouth shut and go somewhere where they do share your view. That's why GOD gave us freedom of choice.

Boy astronomydomine: You must really love GOD, even though you pretend not to because you keep coming back. OK.
By the way, I'm just like my Heavenly Father. I'm not trying to convert you, I just give you truth. What you choose to do with it, is your business.
GOD doesn't stop man from doing anything, because he gave man dominion over the earth and the right to choose. So until GOD's appointed time, he let's man choose what man will do with the earth and everything in it. Man chooses to war, then man will war, and etc.
But since GOD is sovereign, and merciful, he will let man only go so far. He's in control. GOD loves you and that's why he let's you have your opinion. And just so you know, he could care less whether you thinks he's imaginary. He's been called worse.

You're boring me now, astronomydomine;
If you don't want to hear about GOD, stop coming to a thread that has a title with GOD in it. I hope you are learning how to get your point across without being challenging, but obviously not. P.S. When you meet GOD, and you will meet him, and you should decide to spit in his face, he'll just turn the other cheek.

I guess I will step up as a member of the "herd", however, I am in no position to "gang up" on anyone. I will just say that I was so devastated by the death of Flower ( and all others) that I came to the MM website, then to the forums and this was the one that I CHOSE to read. No one is forced to read anything they do not want to, and all are entitled to their own opinion. That being said, the people who have chosen to come here find comfort and encouragement with one anothers' postings. It has been a blessing to me personally, and it is my wish for this forum to continue.
