My pup (shes 18) and I are planning to go to the LA Zoo on Jan 27th to honor Flower on her one year anniversary of her passing. I would like to invite anyone who would like to come,honor Flower with us. I would love the chance to meet as many of you wonderful burrowmates as I can

Oh Kitty! ~ What a wonderfully beautiful plan! I would so love to join you, were it not for this little 3000 mile detail standing in the way from here in Massachusetts.

Please know I'll join in spirit with you, your pup, and others who gather to remember our beloved Flower.

I think that this is a great idea. We need to honor our little girl who left us way too early.

That is a great way to honor the bravest, and one of the most lovable wild creatures on earth. If I didn't live so far away (Michigan) I would be there with you. There are meerkats in the Kalamazoo, Michigan zoo, so I will be there on the 27th to honor Flower.

I wish I could go...but I live in IN, so......I'm....2000 miles away. That's a 44 hour car ride! Woah! I got carsick thinking bout being in a van that long!

Christopher:: I plan on being there from 10am when they open until 5pm when they close. There are wonderful Meerkats at the Indianapolis Zoo! I met them the November before last. I'm afraid I rather neglected the rest of the zoo... but I was just so in my element!

The 27th of January is fast approaching. So, hopefully many people can meet at the L.A. Zoo to honor our Flower.

Sounds like fun on the 27th. I will be in the LA area that weekend. If I can swing it I would love to meet other meerkat lovers there. Last October I visited the SF Zoo and enjoyed watching the meerkats there. I took many pictures and videos. Is there a way to post photos on these reply messages???

Since I am way too far to come to LA that day since I live outside Chicago I will take my nieces to Brookfield Zoo and spend that time with the Meerkats there.

It's so hard to believe that almost a year has past since we lost the Queen of the Kalahari, and based on the LH reports it's been a very rough year indeed.

Angie:: that sounds like a great idea, would love to meet you in person..but it will be great to meet you in spirit... and I know what you mean about Flower it makes it hard because we didnt get to know about it until long after it happened so we havent been able to have the year to grieve... and with the others we have lost since then has kept us almost in a state of mourning.

I am looking forward to meeting you all at the meet up, it is going to be a fun day indeed...as we celebrate Flower

What a wonderful way to honor & remember Flower...those who loved her could never forget her, no matter how much time has passed....I wish I could be there. Thank you for honoring our sweet Rose's memory.

Rest in peace, Flower, Mozart, Carlos, Kinkajou and all the many other meerkats we lots last season. Gone but; never forgotten...

I am sorry you wont be able to be there Lace, but you can be there in spirit with us and we will add a prayer from you for Flower if you would like :-)
