In Journey's End Sean Astin says that Flower was a noble mother. This is very true. Some of her children have passed on.

There's Shakespeare, who is either dead or missing. He was one of the bravest meerkats on the manor. Indeed, he was very much like Flower.

There's Mozart. She was definately one of the most caring meerkats in the Kalahari. She stayed with Shakespeare after he had been bitten by the snake, and she stayed with Carlos when he was dying of TB. She too, was very much like Flower.

There's Rocket Dog. She lead the Whiskers after her mother's death. She could have been one of the best leader's on the manor if she had only lived. In this, she was like Flower.

And Flower has living children too.

There's Mitch. He has proved himself invaluble to the group many times. Mitch has very much potential as a dominant. Just like Flower.

There's Ella, the now DF of the Whiskers. When Rocket Dog was bitten by the snake she led the group, and did not try to overthrow Rocket Dog. She respected leadership. Like her mother Flower would have done.

There are many more of Flower's children that are special. Flower's death was tragic, but her legacy lives on in her brave children.

In Journey's End it was said that it is Flower's lasting legacy that matters. She was a successful dominant for many years. In that time she raised many pups, gave them strength and taught them the skills they would need to carry on without her.

It all means that, still here or gone, her children were -and still are- very worthy of her memory.

Well done, great Queen!!!

We, the members of a dedicated meerkat loving group created a petition that was posted on Care2, an international petition site that reaches many people. The petition is addressed at network executives, and its purpose is to generate as many signatures by viewers, and lovers of Meerkat Manor, and meerkats in general in order to convince them to start filming the program again. Thank you for your help. Please inform friends, and family about the petition, and the link to it. This is a link to the petition site:
