Has anyone here ever stuck their nose where they shouldn't have and been chased by irate honeybees protecting their hive? I was once. And I got stung a few times too! Ouch. Frown

I don't know if this counts, but i was gardening one day and talking , had a bee of somekind fly into my mouth and sting me in the inner gum, right next to my teeth. I had to go to the dentist, to have the stinger removed. That hurt
like crazy!!

My father had a terrible accident with a beehive. we were all in the backyard barbequeing and he went over to the tree to catch some shade, he noticed a beehive in one of the trees openings and within seconds they had started to swarm him, he of course ran around sreaming and we put a towel around his face and ran, He was stung several times and his face swollen, thank goodness he was not alergic to bee stings. It took awhile for his face to heal.
I myself have gotten stung twice by bee, once on the knee gardening, and once on my arm outisde playing soccer. Frown

Ow, those stings all sound really scary and painful! Especially yours must've been painful Dizzy, the gum tissue sure is a pain-sensitive place. And then where you couldn't reach it to boot!
And I'm sorry about the bees going after your father koalasteve. That must've been so frightening. Frown I'm glad he wasn't allergic either.

Ouch your stories make me wince, especially yours dizzy, ouch!

I have been bitten numerous times by bees but never more than one at a time. Yikes! I can't imagine being bitten by 200 bees, snakestalker. And as for wasps, I am scared to death of them, almost as much as spiders. Eek

As a kid my dad had his own hive and he used to collect honey for us. Sometimes my sister and I would get bitten on the foot or arm, when the bees would gather nectar from flowers in our garden.

No offence to any blondes out there but my cousin really fits the stereotype. One day she was working out side cleaning her car...she had a drink from Sonic..you know with those really big wide straws...well a bee crawled in ther to get some of her sweet sugary soda. Well my cousin bent over and took a big gulp. Boy did she get a surprise! Eek
