I wish something like that had happened to my parents. Married 28 years. Mom filled didn't even know how long they'd been married. I'm basically pretty stupid. Went to rattlesnake roundup in west Texas had the wild notion to set about 1000 or so snakes free into a crowd of about 200 or so. Didn't really do it but I wish I did the killed about 900 or so of them. How would you like it if at your family reunion a bunch of people went in grabbed all of you stuffed about 20 of you into a area about the size of a truck cab. Then stipped you and measured you then chopped off your heds and ripped out your guts. Out of all of your family your the only one to survive?!!!!! We really need to stop rattle snake round up because that is what the did. Put as if they did it to humans. The only differnce is that they put about 30 to 60 rattle snakes in a trash can. And they milk them right before they kill them.

Close call for me was when I was on my boat (you know a lake boat) in the lake in my back yard and I was fishing with live bate not a good idea. I felt a tug and I got a gater on my line. I did not know it until I got it on the surface. Had to get the line out of its mouth so i got me nife and got it out but in the middel of it all I got bit in the hand by him... littel punk lol. Not so much of a close call but hay.

...AT MY FRIEND'S HOUSE,HE WAS TRYING TO GET HIS EASTERN RIBBON SNAKE AND HIS COMMON GARTER SNAKE OUT,(WICH EVER ONE HE COULD GET OUT LOL )BUT INSTEAD,THE LIGHT FELL OFF THE TANK!!!!!!!!

me and my bro are like rattler experts dude and one day we were out catching em for u of a and we lifted this board and this western diomand back that i didn't see lundged out and barely missed my pinky finger by like just a inch my bros instinct saved me. his prongs grabbed it's head in mid air.

one day when we were searching for rattlers i sat down and almost got tagged by a mohave rattler. sweaten bullets i was. i gave a croc
hunter battle cry afterward "whoooooooohhhoah"

My close call happened a long time ago lol, and it was with a St.Bernard. I was 2 and leaning against my dads legs petting Shane (the st.bernard) when all of a sudden it bit me full in the face. My dad said it moved as quick as a snake and they were worried he was going to come away with the skin off my face. But he let go almost as fast as he bit and all I was left with was fang marks. Two on my forehead and two on the bottom of my face. I don't really remember it all that well, but I do remember sitting on the counter while my parents cleaned me up. Other then that, I've been REALLY lucky when it comes to pets/wildlife.

I'm not sure if you would conciter this to be a close call but once when my dad, my sister, & I were walking our dog when my dad spoted a snake. Something that made things momoent even more dangerice is that we didn't know what kind of snake it was or if it was alive or dead. But it was freaky for me none the less.

~~My dog/best friend,lol, Rusty. He's a Rhodesian Ridgeback. They are great guard dogs, as you might know. Well, neways, My dad, bro, and I took Rusty to a pond for him to swim in for a lil exercise. There is this little playground on the other side of the pond. So my dad and lil bro were over there while I was over by the water watching my Rusty boy. I dunno, what kind of snake it was( one of those water snakes??) but it was like gliding in the water (or w/e). The friggen thing came over to me, lol... so when i screamed,Rusty ran over and shreded the damn thing apart. I was pretty sure it was going to bite me but not sure if it was poinsonis. (spelling??)
~~then another time, me and a friend were downtown and she took a step into the road without looking, i yanked her shoulders and she fell back on the sidewalk. lol. a car was speeding our way.
~~ i was on my skateboard and turned around for a second to see if Rusty was keeping up with me. the next thing i knew, i slammed into a telephone pole and fell on the road. (yeah, ik, stupid me) Even though I got up right away, some idiot driving his car didn't see me. Luckily Rusty was with me, he stopped in front of the car and almost got hit!! poor Rusty, he must have been so scared
~~Tabby, my cat now, when she was a stray... she'd always hang out in our front and backyard all the time and beg for food. She was extremely friendly but shy. int he morning when i brought catfood outside to her, she was sleeping. When i said her name and petted her, she scratch me. I startled the poor thing. Then i said to get a tetnis?? shot
~~When i was 5, i was playing outside with my sister, who was 7 at the time in our...uhh...guess you can call it, not doll house but those small plastic house lil kids play in. (looked like a plastic log cabin house) I turned around to see a brown and orange striped on the legs taranchula (spelling??) I screamed and ran away, crying. lol
~~Then at around 8 years old, i got bit by one of those ugly lil spiders
~~oooh yeah, not about me but my friend's uncle got EATEN BY A SHARK!!

this girl i know was walking to her bus stop and she saw a german shepard running towards her. She was gonna punch her fist out to put it in his mouth to stop him from biting her. But before she could, he bit her on her upper leg. hehehehh. The owner ran out and all she said was something like, "Oh, I am really really sorry. But I promise you I will buy you new jeans as soon as possible." It turns out the dog's name was physco.

I myself have had many a close call but when you work with WILD animals it is bound to happen at sometimes. we tend not to brag or tell but my most heart pounding was recently when I entered the cage of a siberian tiger and her sister at a sancutary I volunteer at to clean and I was in shourts which was my first mistake and I had recently held a baby fawn which may have contributed to the intrest in my pants and then my leg where she chomped down and left me 4 brusies and brought NO blood the 2nd trainer intervened and I escaped! Still love them and treat them with the upmost respect!

i got bit by a black widow when i was 11, not a very fun excperience...

i sat on a brick wall that just happened to be full of wasps...

and i got bit by three green tree snakes while tring to rescue them from a really busy road.
