Please Read, Years of Frustration
I will be 24 in 2 months, am engaged and my life is wonderful.. except being sick. I ran around looking at other things and now that I know its gas (part of the issue), no one will help.
These are the symptoms I have had for at least 3 years:
*Pain and popping/gurgling under left ribcage *Some constipation *left eye blur *Severe pelvic pain (this is when they looked at kidneys) that causes me to drop to floor *lower back pain and spasms *feeling sunburnt *pain left shoulder, whole left side of body as well as some tingling *chest pain (from gas) *tight neck, feels like stuff gets caught in my throat when I eat. *nausea upon eating *clear mucous (mostly during eating) *weight loss *stomache distention (I hid it for years sucking it in wearing tight pants). *lots of fat and white strings and mucous in stools *been having to use laxatives (under dr supervision) *sinus type issue
I got diagnosed with Gerd 2 months ago, but went in circles thinking gas pain was every other type of pain. I quit smoking 3 weeks ago, and started eating a high fiber diet.
I got put on Omeprezole 20mg twice a day, but when that didn't work they put me on Prevacid 30mg a day.
A walk-in told me when I went and had a low temperature (95.8 ... low temps seem to be new trend for me) that an xray of my abdomen showed buildup of gas and bowels... very bad build up.
The gastro doesn't think there is need for testing at this point and I am now on Ametiza to help me produce bowels. Also Bentyl for spasms. She claims that throat issues have nothing to do with GERD
My regular doctor thinks this is all in my head and while stress can attribute to it, most definitely... this is an ongoing daily struggle with trapped gas and feeling like my body, even throat and ears fill up with it. (An ER doctor said this wasnt in my head at all)
I feel like my body is becomming sick all because of gas. Oh and my regular doctor now has me on a steroid nasal spray because my lymph nodes in my throat are swelling.
And also I had an ingrown toenail removed at age 17 now its back and looks like its getting a fungal infection. It needs to come out however, I am on state insurance and no one will do it for me.
My glucose is fine, MRI of head is good, white blood cell count fine, abdominal x-ray (at walk-in clinic) showed abundance of gas especially under ribs, scans of kidneys and heart fine, few PVCs in EKG but said it was normal.
Please, Somebody Help! If ANYONE knows of a GASTRO in CONNECTICUT, or any PODIATRIST who works for free or for state insurance carriers out of a school/clinic, please let me know!
