Please help me, my body is burning in the inside?
I am suffering from symptoms, that are causing me great pain. my symptoms are: burning in my hands and feet, my legs, and arms. Numbness in fingers, stiffness in hands, difficulty walking, ripping feeling in hands. This has been going on for a month. I know what it is NOT: reflex sympathetic dystrophy, diabetes, lupus, lyme disease, anxiety,depression, the doctors do not think it is autoimmune, inflamatory,or something wrong with the nervous system. the rheumatologist believes told me it is due to stress and basically without actually saying the words, told me i was going crazy. i know my body and i do not believe it is RSD. please if these symptoms sound familiar and aren't i mention please tell me. I just turn 17, and i have miss a month of school. this is very diabilating. I just want my normal life back. I am open to any ideas. I have seen three doctors and my mom and me are ust so confused, i am very scared. thank you very much.

Sorry to hear your not feeling well, but what you described sounds exactly what my twin sister has been experiencing. We are 26 she is somewhat active. One day this just appeared out of now where. It woke her up in the middle of the night. She felt she was on fire. She has been to several doctors, who just don't have any clue. Some of them incinuate she is crazy. She is actually starting to think she is crazy. I know she isn't crazy because I have weird symptoms not to her extreme, but have some. Isn't weird that several people experience the same thing, but your crazy right.

I am wondering if you have found anything else out yet? What area do you live in? If you have had MRI's ect? If you seen a neurologist? Are you having any visual problems? Kidney problems?

I know the FEELING! I havv ebasicly the same sypmtoms and have seen 19 doctors on this so good luck try some of the head-on products for temp.relief. Good luck i'm still with out diagnoses 2.

Ok, I have just been for a run and straight after my whole body felt on fire, it happens everytime I exercise and even when I am sleeping it can disturb me. My legs fidget for ages with pain.

So this time I thought I would look it up and came across these postings! It feels ok to know I am not going mad, others feel it too! I have suffered these symptoms for years now and had various investigations etc....so far all I have been told is I have an autoimmune condition but they can't identify what one...been refered to a rheumatologist too.....is that really going to get me anywhere?????

did you try Prednisone with your rhumi?
I had poly myalgia and then temporal arteritis and it was a miracle drug....
I had fire all over inside my body esp the back of my skull.........

I burning pain in my feet the make the backs of my legs hurt. Summers are really bad, when the temp is warm that increases my pain. I have been to a neurologist and he said it is a neuropathy of some kind and there is no cause and no cure. Gave me pain killers, which I told him were not helping, then increase the dosage and for 6 months went through more pain and finally feel a little better then when I was taking the pains killers. They tried to put me on Prozac and the first night was fire and pain through my whole body. Now is sending me to a shrink. They are not listening and think I am crazy.

Are you on any medication? and what testing have they done?

I think I have found the problem. I knew I didn't have a neuropathy. I had a University Hospital do tests and they say I do not have a neuropathy. I told her I had more Hamstring injury sympthoms, then Neuropathy. It has taken me a year to finally have someone believe me. I am seeing a PT tomorrow for hamstrings, hoping they will find out was is wrong. I did some more searching and found something. When the back of the leg (hamstrings) is painful it is likely that the pelvis is tilted. I am taking that little bit of information to the PT. I tried some excerises and they seem to help. I am not in shape at all and now everything hurts a bit, but the pain is somewhat relieved. I hope this information is helpful, I know how much pain it is. I have been searching for something now a year. I have wrapped myself in ace bandages trying to reduce the pain. This may not cure my foot pain, but The leg pain has to go.

I don't know if this information will help, but I had an aunt that died of this disease. However there is a doctor in Bristol TN that gave her a diagnosis. I don't remember the name of the disease but I know that he knew quite a bit about it. He was at Bristol regional medical center in Bristol TN. If you go into checking this out I think that you could start at the hospice house.This is also a part of the medical center. I hope this helps!
