I am adopting an ex pacer (Standardbred). He's a beautiful 16 hand gelding, but i have no idea what to name him. His racing name is Command Post, but I need a name I can call him all the time. It doesn't have to relate to Command Post. HELP!!!

consider his personality, and any quirks he may have when picking a barn name. where did he come from? does he do anything funny? there was a horse in our barn who liked to stick his tongue out so he got the name lemon. is he fast? (jet), does he buck or rear in turnout (bucky, or fire) does he just stand around? (pokey, eyore) some barn names of horses in my current barn and ones from the past, prince, bella, joe, sarge,frog, ozzy, dude, remy,fred, royal, cosmo, jaws, stowie, moose, houdini, and bear. don't let someone else choose his name its so much more meaningful when you chose it. take your time and watch him for a while. let us know what you decide!

Well, I have it narrowed down between Wildfire and Phantom! He's a fast boy! lol, and he's got lots of spirit.

i have to tell you im partial to wildfire! that was my first pony's name. your guy is very handsome! nice pictures! he looks very proud! what are your plans for him? are you going to show him? keep us informed!

I need to get to know him first but I do plan to show him. He's never been shown before. The only excitement near that was at the race track, sooo we'll see. This is my last year as a junior because I'm going to be 18 soon so I want to get some showing in. Other than that he'll do some jumps, but he can't do really intense jumping because of an old suspensory injury which is just fine for me. I'll definatley keep you all updated on his progress!!!
