tell her that you are going to sell your horse because you feel that your horse would be better suited for a more of a backyard or pony club mount because you dont feel that he loves showing. i think you definately should get another horse if you feel that way. my horse was never into jumping or showing but i just felt something in him that made me think he would love it after he learns how to move aND JUMP CORRECTLY AND I HAD MANY PROFESSionals tell me that i shouldnt get him that hes not good enough but i felt something and i got him a year and 1/2 later we are getting ready to do big eq shows and some hunters and jumpers but i like eq the best. so sorry for the essay i think you should do what you feel is best wether its with or without the professionals
im pretty much in the same boat as you, i have a quarter horse and hes one of the sweetest horses ever- but most judges wont even look at him. And i want to move up in the hunters and be able to do the 3' -3'3'' childrens hunter but i dont think hes capable of doing that. So i know how you feel =[
I guess my advice is to talk to your parents before talking to your trainer, and just really think about what your priorities are. I wouldnt just sell him off yet, maybe talk to your trainers about leasing him out to someone at your barn or close by, thats what ill probably do
