i wish, that would be pretty cool. Pretty high up their in the coolest stuff ive ever done. But i think it would be really hard to ride, they are so sensitive and highly trained that they feel EVERYTHING and every little signal
i havnt ridden a jumper, but i did get to ride a Grand Prix dressage horse named Othello who is a 15.3h nine year old imported Lusatano from portugal. His gaits were amazing and he was trained so that if you whistled, he would go to gait slower than the one he was doing. [like canter to trot or something] If you havnt ridden a gran prix horse of any kind, i highly recomend you do. Trust me, its worth the money you'll pay, and it will be the best ride of you life, well it was for me anyway.
o yeah, and to answer your "thought" ca2roline617, he was extreemly sensitive, but you get used to it. I do think it would be different with a jumper though.
this old GP horse, from Europe, hes name HUmphry or something. i think you spell it with a ph... great jump but he is so pully and you have to get him in the bridal. he pulls so much. hes lazy with his neck so if you dont apply leg he looks like he swolloed a 2 by 4. but when you get him just right the horse can jump.. hes 19 now and dosent do the gp but you can still takem over 4. great horse
yes, he was fantastic I only flatted him becuase I was teaching two girls ride their ponies and his owner and my trainer werent around. He was incredible, his stride ATE the ground. he never pulled or got heavy on his forehand, it was all from his hind. What an engine on that one. I learned what the end result ofriding SHOULD be....i felt one with the horse My horse did a few grand prixs but he wasnt too happy in there, he got too strong over the BIG fences....hes more a junior/childrens jumper.
Yeah, I have. His name was 16.3 Westphalian named Grancino. The thing was worth like $750,000. Best horse ever; I would trust him with my life. Went over about 3 ft jumps at a super slow canter like nothing.
