buying used is probably one of the best options out there. a lot of the older model saddles are built and made better than the newer models...plus it's already broken in!

i lovelovelovelove my butet, but i also lovelovelovelove my antares. both faaabulous saddles and oh so comfortable. and pretty.

the PJs are pretty nice too. uhhhhh, Hermes are really nice as well.

ZALDI.
I am in LOVE with my Zaldi, and it's old and used and was horribly taken care of XD But I've ridden in the newer, nicer ones and those are great as well. The Zaldi "Star" is really nice, I used it in an eq class once and it puts your leg in the perfect position. I personally think they're as nice as the Antares, and considerably cheaper XD

I looked into it, and it seems that Zaldi is made by Crump. Crump saddles last FOREVER. I was borrowing one and it survived a horse falling over on it (once) and the saddle falling off as the horse spooked while tacking up (MANY times...grr) with very little noticeable damage.

I have a used Circuit saddle. It is the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden in (my barn friends feel the same, too).

I have the Beval Natural and Beval Butet and am buying either the Tad Coffin, County, or Antares.
The Butet is a bit tricky to fit to your horse, you ahve to have someone really come out and check it out on your horse and fit it well. its a beautiful saddle though. Calfskin leather throughout, completely customizable, gorgeous color when oiled.
The Natural is nice, the only thing is that my leg was TOO long for it, even though its already a longer flap. Im just a freakshow though when it comes to body proportions. But its nice and fits virtually every horse that ive ridden.
I love the county saddles becuuse theyre nice and deep and fully custom. Though some people say that theyre too deep, almost to the point of being pitched forward.
Antares are fantastic, always have been, always will be
The tad coffin is totally custom, somehwere around 4,200, and not exactly the most comfortable saddle ever but very very very nice.
Try looking at the Ashford Saddle and the Ashford II. Just google it, theyre gorgeous, fully customizable and not super super expensive.
