Th horse Barboro was just put down!!! He had brocken his leg in last years preekness and they just put hom down 2day
I cant believe it!!!! It makes me soooo mad I just hate horse racing it is so cruel!!!! How would these pepole feel if they were being treated like that. It makes me so mad!!!!! But he is in a better place now and we will never 4get him.

my trainer actually knows his trainer and even though i am totally against horse racing too, barbaro's trainer tried everything he could to keep him alive and happy. it is sooo sad tho

i like horse raceing but i dont like how many horses get hurt and the owers tried everything they could to keep him alive so its not there fault , it was no one's fault that he got hurt and they put him down to end his pain.

I just heard right now. It is so sad. They did everything they could to save him, but he ended up developing an abcess that required more surgery. Like you said, he is in a better place.

laminitis in three legs, with a subsolar abcess in the fourth. He fought so hard, but like Dr. richardson said, his mood had changed. then they knew. I hugged Rocky extra today.

^ Really well written article that, while it is not specifically about Barbaro, it relates to the whole situation. It really makes you think about our relationship with horses in general.

Like you said, atleast he isn't suffering anymore. That's better than anything else. When it comes down to it, the horse should always come first. Agree?
