the Spartans lay down on the ground when a lot of horses go over them without one guy being hurt.... could that really happen? like would the hourses natrual instic would alow them to jump over them rather than being trampled to a certen death? or is that just holywood???

Looks like bunk to me. Maybe your typical horse would rather jump than trample, but war horses were trained to trample.

The best way to stop a cavalry charge is to have some long spears and stab the horses in the belly. Not pretty, but effective
