I agree man, those saturation divers are NUTS!!! How about the EOD guys?? Theses dudes are either the bravest or the stupidest people in the world.
Also, you're right. Who does decide what the most dangerous jobs are anyway?? I'd like to take him on patrol in Tal Afar or Mosul, I think it might change their minds.
I'm an Infantryman, more people die every day in my job then probably the last 10 years of crab fishing. I lost 8 friends from my company alone in 30 days in Baqubah, Iraq 2007. Deadliest job? I think not.
I think compairing the Military with Crab fishing is like apples and oranges. For a civilian job it could be the most dangerous. What the Military does in a combat zone is in a league of it own. There job is to Kill and to breakthngs period. It could not be shown on tv. SEMPER-FI
"Who Says" ,,,,Labor Statistics Say you gung ho fools. More Guys Died per capita in the Aleutian Offshore Fishery in the past 5, 10, 20, or 50 years..than ANY OTHER JOB IN THE WORLD and that definetly includes Infantrymen and Deep Sea Divers... User that keyboard in front of your nose to do a little research before you type your fleeting stupid thoughts...
I have always said that even though my job is very dangerous there's nobody trying to shoot me! I have the utmost respect for our men and women in uniform and would never want to downplay the service and sacrifice made for our country by the real heroes. To fish in the bering sea is a choice I have made and I have the option of leaving If I see fit, our troops keep working even when all seems lost. We have freedom through the sacrifce of others, honor and respect that, someone gave everything they had so you can have what you want.
