I have really been thinking about and wondering how 'magic eraser's work (there are many generic brands out there also). Do they have a special cleaner in them. Or is it the texture of the surface of the sponge? Very possibly the secret is all together something else and I am way off completely... Anyway I would really like to see and learn how these powerful little sponges make practically anything disappear! I also think it would be very interesting to watch how these neat inventions are made so I suppose i will have to post this in the 'How It's Made' section.

I'd like to see that also ... I know it has something to do with the composition of the "rubber" I learned from an old-time telephone technician how to erase Sharpy permanent marker with the rubber handles of my lineman's pliers. That amazed me; a normal eraser won't even fade the color, but my pliers erase it like it was a pencil mark.
