I used to be the housekeeping/maintenance supervisor at Kohl's Department Store. I only had the job for two months an quit. Here are all of the nastiest things I experienced in that time period:
-Someone lied about their pet being a service dog and it peed in a fitting room. -Poop smeared all over a toilet stall. -Half a cheeseburger in the middle of a rack of clothes. -Use sanitary napkin stuck to a dressing room wall. -3 Open dirty diapers on the fitting room floors, one was hidden by discarded fitting room clothes. -Poop smeared in a little boys fitting room. (Carpet, mirror, & walls) -The puke of many sick children found in carpeted isles. -Blood from a bloody nose on the carpet. -And some things that would probably not be acceptable for discovery channel(found in the mens' stalls). -And I got ringworm on top of all of that.
I know the feeling. I briefly drove a parking lot sweeper truck and people would use the parking lots for disposal of ALL kinds of waste.Dirty diapers and underwear and used"protection" were just examples that I can barely mention in a family paper. Several times,I had to stop what I was doing when I'd find a knife, firearm or other weapon with blood on it and call the police about it.They were never happy to get a call and find the complainant driving a vacuum truck due to concerns of what I picked up that I didn't know about. Other than the ire of my boss for delays when dealing with the law,I got a lot of grief from supervisors for always having a box of nitrile gloves at hand because I was also attending EMT classes at the time and they thought I was being "too" cautious.
