In the hospital we have codes that are announced overhead to convey certain messages to staff. Among my close coworkers we have our own personal code called, "Code Brown". Code brown is when we have a patient with uncontrollable, "where did that come from!!", "can't wipe it all by myself","holy cow, when is it going to stop!","damn I can't breathe cause that is a hellish beyond this world odor, let me gag," bowel explosion. Being in a caregiver position for debilitated adults has its challenges whenever nature calls. This definitely beats stories that mommies tell about their baby's poopy diapers, because whatever they say, adults do it adult size and then some. My hat goes off to nurse's aides who can handle a planet sized load and the person who created it with such finesse. They do it in such a way that the person can remain in the same bed which one minute was like Charlie in the chocolate factory and the next minute is all clean-white,hospital-starchy perfect sheets with a comfy cozy individual lying within. That was just a sampling of handling adult human nature calls. Hope that was enlightning.
