A state cattle brand inspector is responsible for reading cattle brands and transfering ownership titles. The work is done at a sale barn, feed yard or ranch, all of which are very stinky. The work is done rain, snow, or shine, so some days are dirtier than others. But usually you come home covered in mud, manure and cow hair. On a good day you just come home smelling like manure. The job also entails roping and clipping the hair off not so friendly cows in order to read brands. Thats when the mud, manure, ropes and cowboy hats fly!
