When I was much younger, I used to work at a company called Glamos Wire, in Hugo Minnesota. If it is not the only plant that makes tomato wire supports, it is one of the few. I'm sure their standards have been raised over the years, but back then, it was 8 hours a day of constant movement, arobics if you will. You never stood still until you were on break. The more pieces you made the more you got paid. It was noisy and dirty. but for an hour after I got home every day, when I blew my nose, the stuff that came out was black. Their idea of air filteration, was using automotive air filters placed several feet apart. Anyone who had a weight issue when they started, either quite or was very slender by the end of the season. We litterally worked our fannies off!
