i began working with animals back in 2000, little did i know that it would be such a dirty job. since 2000 i have worked with all sorts of animals, from domestics (dogs and cats)to tigers. working with the tigers had to be the dirtiest thing i have ever done but i loved it. there were times i would be standing ankle deep in blood and smelling like a dead animal, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. i loved every minute of it. now i work in vet clinic and and even though it is still a very dirty job it doesn't compare to those days back at the tiger sanctuary.
Hi! I've been working with animals since 2000 also- I work at an animal hospital. Yes there is not just blood(off the walls and cages) and poop and vomit,(with the sick animals)to clean. But it CAN be emotionally tough sometimes. Being with the dog or cat's owner after their loved one has passed on. I find it easier to take because I've lost a pet before. I can understand people when I see them crying after their pet has died or been hurt. Regardless, It is a rewarding job!
