I work on tires, Big trucks. From working out in the cold at 10f and your all bundled up and your fighting with a 100 pound tire or maybe even 8 tires you will sweat and the only thing you have to wipe your face with is your dirty sleeve as your trying to stay warm and then you take your safety glasses off with your oil filled gloves only to put them back on to see that you marred them up but you have to finish the job and then take off your gloves to put in the valve core and cross over lines just to freeze even more. Not to mention the soaps when we use to put them on and the oil from the tires and grease from the trucks or trailers dirt on the ground or snow, mud,or rain. That's just winter ...summer is even worst because the heat and being so busy. That's the dirty part, the danger is a whole new meaning. Not only can a tire blow up on you which has enough forch to take a arm, leg, head,or all...but is being on the road way as well. People are in hurry to get places they dont see those amber lights flashing...OH its not a cop so just keep flying by while im trying to do my job. Think as you read this// you are sitting on the shoulder of a e-way...Detroit,NewYork,Florida,LA..Busy e-ways and your reading this and cars are flying past you .....dangerous. I didn't pick this job because I wanted it I have to feed and put a roof over my family......when I go on calls at night my two little girls tell me they Love Me and even when I leave for work they tell me, because they know my job is dangerous and they know if Im not carefull what could happen. It's not a safe job,but at least I got one.
