this job isnt that bad from some of them that i have read but it is dirty and hot. During the summer i stacked hay in a hay loft for about 6 summers that means work at 7am till the last feild of the day was done which meant 8 or 9 at night. the chaff or the hay that falls off would get all over u it would b 110 degrees at the top of the loft and when u went down by the cows it just smelled horrible. then would get these stupid little scratches on u that would kill when u took a shower that job was horrible
I helped bail hay as a teen (a long time ago)! It was hot, dirty, sweaty and HARD work! I got hay chaff in my ears, up my nose, down my back.......(it itches!) and other places not to be mentioned. I wore a bathing suit under my jeans and long-sleeved shirt, just so I could jump in the muddy pond full of leeches and snappers to get rid of the sweat and damn chaff!BUT.........it made me a better person today!
