My name is Andrew Barnowski and I have a good old fashion dirty job for you. I live in and work for the city of Holland Michigan, and we hold one of the largest festivals in America, Tulip Time. Every year we plant thousands of tulips. Thats where you come in, it takes alot of work to dig those holes, and trust me you will get dirty. Heck at the end of a good day you spit dirt and find it places you didn't think it could reach.
the job is pretty simple but you still could lose an arm if your not on your toes. We follow right behind a custom built trenching machine. It digs the lanes for the tulips. My job it to make sure the holes are deep enough and the trencher never digs it deep enough. Theres three jobs while following the trencher. First make the hole deep enough, cut roots, and help keep the trencher running smooth. Second shovel up all the dirt on the side of the road, this is the safest and easiest job. Third rake the dirt in the dump cart(think of a dumptruck turned into a large trailer) flat, move road cones along as the trencher moves, and watch for problems.
We start digging around September 15th, so if you think you're up to digging miles of holes and gitting dirty while you do it give me a call or email.
