I had my oldest three children ages 1, 3 and 5 plus my sisters 3, ages 1, 7 and 8. I was babysitting while my sister went out of town. The oldest came home from school with the flu, threw up in my car, yes, I had to clean it up. The next day, it just went down the line with the kids. The worst was the two youngest, still in diapers and unable to control the vomit and diariha, and they both got sick in their cribs. I was cleaning up vomit and poo off of walls, double time, in addition to having to clean up the kids, it was everywhere.
I think being a single at anytime is the dirtiest job ever. Surviving their childhood with various illnesses, dogs, cats, and other pets being dragged home (a very large spider comes to mind) and shoveling the mess they call bedrooms once in awhile. Not to mention doing it alone. I have two friends I call my "backup team" that I call when the job becomes too much. Especially since I have a sensitive gag reflex and a cat that likes to hack up furballs in the middle of the night.
