I obviously echo sentiments expressed about various 'home' shows on TLC regarding the rampant destruction and waste, apparently for 'entertainment' of the viewing audience. Some demolition is necessary within the confines of these shows however the destruction for 'entertainment' is insulting to those who would GLADLY take anything and use it, rather than trash it - donate, sell. Also during the current economic 'downturn' awareness that not everyone has the luxury (carelessness, stupidity, arrogance) to destroy useful items. When people are losing their homes and/or going without basic comforts it is deplorable that such serious waste is celebrated in any way. I have always assumed that WNTW would donate the 'trashed' clothes of their fashion victims but there is no way to assume anything positive about the real estate/property shows that make sport from smashing perfectly serviceable and useful bathroom and kitchen fixtures, appliances, cabinetry, tile, etc. Come on Discovery, you don't get to have shows like Planet Green encouraging ecological concerns AND also encourage wanton destruction and waste of materials on other shows. Shame on you for not addressing these issues in the past and if this arrogant and ignorant attitude continues, you will hopefully lose more viewers than myself.
