Razz STOP!! they rip cabinets out and put them in dumpsters. they could be taken out and donated or resold for money to use in their reno. and smashing perfectly reusable light fixtures witha bowling ball! too bad they actually show on international TV people throwing reusable items into a dumpster to be taken to a landfill!! come on TLC, you of all channels should be setting a better example.
TEACH YOUR VIEWERS ABOUT REDUCING WASTE BY RE-USING OR RECYCLING!!

I agree! I thought the same thing today when I watched them rip out perfectly nice cabinets. I understand if something isn't to their taste - but maybe someone would want to hang them in their garage or basement for storage. Or you could sell them and make a couple of hundred bucks. But to swing a sledgehammer at something simply to satisfy some macho thing is asine!

I have a hard time watching the show seeing all the waste they make my ripping out and throwing out good quality reusable materials.

Shame on the whole show for not using their national/int'l platform to encourage everyone to be environmentally resposible by reducing, reusing and recycling.

Habitat for Humanity ReStores take these types of reusable building materials (cabinets, sinks, lighting, appliances, furniture, etc.)and resells to the public at great prices to raise money to build houses for families in need (these houses are sold to families, not given away free).

What a missed opportunity for TLC and Discovery. Please change your show to help others while helping the planet!!

I just logged on to make the case for recycling, but I see that others feel the same. I cringe every time some yahoo starts destroying cabinets, ripping out appliances, smashing counters, etc. I can't believe that TLC has not started a campaign on all their shows (Moving Up, Property Ladder, etc.) to recycle as much as possible. It certainly would be great PR!
