I really liked tonight's show. It was much better than last week's and even funny. I loved Jodi's comments about the pool table balls and not needing the fireplace for a Christmas wreath! I liked what eveyone did to the homes especially the kitchens. Nice job eveyone and Bob I hope you get your tv.
Yeah, "I'm a Jew!" in response to the where will the wreath go cracked me up. I also enjoyed last night's show a lot more than the previous week. Three really likable pairs of homeowners IMO.
I'm SO glad this show is back. I used to be a huge Trading Spaces fan, but now I find myself anxious for TS to be over so we can get to Moving Up!
thank you so much for the compliments. We got to use the pool a bit last summer, but I literally spent everyday working on the house. Jodi and I look foward to this summer--poolside, without any paint or spackle all over us. As for the shooting schedule - we shot from the end of May until the end of August. If I recall correctly, it was a few days a week. My only disappointment in the show is that there wasn't a bit more of my nieces and nephews - oh well. As for us being late on move out day - the show had a hand in that. We told the show we would be out at 12 noon. They told Bob and Erin to come at 10 AM. Oh, the drama. All three families enjoyed watching, but we are all glad it is over. and we are all enjoying our new homes. thanks again. deirdre
Over three months?? You are sooo lucky. We only had 5 weeks to complete all the renovations, and we did everything ourselves (with the help of my father) whom I think is still recuperating! We were the second to last episode filmed.
I can not believe that there is still no advertising, not one thing have I seen. I am really disappointed.
Deirdre-did Doug film a little tid bit by himself at the end? They told us that would be for the new website and we were anxious to see what he really thought about what we did. They haven't even touched the website. They don't even show you the new episodes if you click on the schedule through that page.
yes, doug did film something that we were not allowed to hear. But I'm not surprised it is not posted anywhere. I find the tlc website - well, shall we say -- not the best or most up-to-date. I simply do not understand the advertising - or lack thereof. And I can't believe you only had five weeks to do the renos. we never could have done everything in that amount of time. we actually did more than what the show focused on. we redid all the floors, some ceilings, another bedroom, an overwhelmingly wallpapered and panelled staircase, and a bathroom. Maybe someday i will recover. were Ila and Jo on your crew? we are having dinner with them next week. I look forward to your episode. deirdre
We did work with Ila-we loved her! I really think she is the only reason we kept partially sane through the experience. We did not work with Joe. Our producer was Pete. Please tell Ila Mike and Kellie from Connecticut say hi. We were so glad we were able to work with her!
My episode is next...I know they are going to make me out to be a bossy wife that doesn't help, but I did help ALOT, they just won't show it.
Oh well, it is an ongoing joke, so it will be funny...I hope.
Kellie - i hope you are having a big party for the premiere. I look forward to your episode - best of luck. and i will tell Ila you send your regards. deirdre
