Well I have grown up with quarter horses so I'd probably stick with that breed... of course I love mustangs had an awsome one years ago. I have been looking at the blm website for mustangs to adopt.... I already have a quarter horse. I've always liked arabians too... I don't have a clue I guess. I have a hard time picking breeds I would buy one of each if I could I just love them all.
The first horse I have ever ridden was a Quarter Horse.I was three when I rode it.I guess that is probably one of the main breeds that are native to Texas.I have also ridden a Tennessee Walker before and even though it was fun,I prefure the Quarter Horse's gait better.
Though i love all breeds with their unique characteristics, i love mustangs for their wild and beautiful nature. They are a challenge to tame and their wild-fighting spirit is was makes them a joy. However, once a mustang trusts you, it will never die. He will fallow you to the end of the earth.
Out of the breeds you listed I would pick a quarter horse, my horse was a quarter horse but we had to sell him back to the place where we bought him because he wasn't happy at our barn. But i also love haflingers and connemaras.
