One of my yearlings has hives, he reacted so bad yesterday that his hind legs swelles up to almost twice normal size. The vet gave me some steroid and antibiotic shots to give him for today and tommorow then we get to try to find out what he is allergic to. not going to be a fun time for us for a while.

OOhhh I'm sorry! My mom's horse had hives about a week back but they weren't that bad. We still don't know what hes allergic to. But good luck finding out what you horse is allergic to!! any Ideas?

have you used anything on his coat like conditioners or sprays or anything? those can cause allergic reactions.

I don't know what your horse might have been alergic to, but when my horse got hives big time, I fed him benadrel don't know if i spelled that rght, the pills according to his weight. I don't know if it would work on yours. Good Luck!
