I'm just kinda curious, soon I'm going to try to take up some bjj tourney's through whatever association my school is affiliated with.
I just recently started stand up, it's amazing how much you progress if you just keep pushing through and paying attention. My punches were had no snap, and now I can feel the punches. It's amazing. I also feel a lot of punches sparing, that on the other hand opens your eyes. *or closes them*
i'm planning to do a cage match april 5th in new jersey for the asylum fight league. it's an amateur fight, so the rules are a little toned down. hopefully i'll get to go pro sometime soon, i still need a lot of work though. haha yea, training hurts a lot at first! no, i take that back, training continues to hurt all the way through! keep up the hard work!
Yeah, I understand some of the amateur fight rules.
I've been looking to do a brazillian jiu-jitsu tourney sometime soon, and obviously i've got a lot of work for my standup to go.
The amateur associations that my school is affiliated with, have funky rules too. Like not punching/kicking to the head. I'm really hoping I can make it down to a few fights to see really how they play out. I'll probally be fighting anywhere between 135-145 once I feel confident enough with my stand up. It's getting there, but I still have problems with moving at angles.
Anyways thanks for letting me know, I plan on trying to traveling downstate eventually to get an idea of what I'm really getting into.
