I am reading the praises for Stacy's Talk Show and it is all coming from TEENS or TWEENS. For an adult who loves WHAT NOT TO WEAR, this show was unbearable. I lasted about 5 minutes and had to turn it off.
The show this bumped, SAY YES TO THE DRESS, was so good - I am clearly disappointed that TLC chose the Stacy disaster over wedding dresses. Please adults, put your 2 cents worth in to get this show cancelled NOW!

I didn't catch the show on Friday night, but I did catch the rerun on Saturday afternoon. I liked it, but I didn't love it. What I do love is the *idea* of it.
I really like Stacy London and her sassy attitude, but it did seem a little forced and awkward for that first show. Almost like she was being a caricature of herself. With that said, I don't think that means it's going to be a bad show or that she's going to be a bad host. A lot of talk shows start out that way. The first couple seasons of Late Night with Conan O'brien were terrible, but now it's amazing.
When I said I like the idea of it, I mean that I love the idea of getting some girlfriends together, dressing up as if we are going out, but staying in at someone's house to watch Stacy London and drink cocktails. For the most part, I prefer to go out, but I'd love to give "girls night in" a shot every once in awhile!

Ugh... the show was painful. She is so funny... but it was awfully forced. Please don't act like that for a full hour.
Also, why would you give Manolo's to Rebecca Romaijn??? I hope she turned around and gave them to a charity. Yes it's great to see and hear about beautiful things and envy... but that exchange was like donating money to Celebrities instead of Make a Wish.

I rather enjoyed the show, and although I have watched "Say Yes to the Dress", I do like the potential of this new show instead.
All I've seen of "Say Yes to the Dress" is mostly drama revolved around an employee they fire anyway. Although the client to client drama of selecting/selling wedding dresses is interesting, I find a talk show refreshing.
Plus, What Not to Wear is a little gimmicky! Its not surprising that's going to rub off on this talk show. Stacy's reputation on TLC comes from her gig on What Not to Wear (for TLC fans).
Overall, I'm a sold fan, at the moment.

Personally I'm a little iffy on the show still. I missed it this past friday because of my friend's 21st birthday (and I slept through saturday's rerun) The premise of a fashion themed show hosted by Stacy seems really cool to me... the feel of the show that i get from the commercials not so cool. I am glad that they did not go with the wedding dress show though, that held absolutely no interest for me at all. I think I watched all of 5 minutes of it before wandering off to do something else. I have hopes that Stacy will settle into the talk show thing comfortably and it will smooth out a bit.

I have to agree at least partially. It left me wondering if Clinton's presence doesn't somehow make Stacey more tolerable. And I LIKE her. She just seems as if she's trying to hard, and the never-ending shilling for various companies/products is annoying. Honestly, would she be caught dead in those pedicure boots?? I'd respect her more if she was being honest and giving real reviews of products instead of raving about a anything from a compnay that provides free studio audience gifts. And, frankly, there has to be more than just fluff to make this show fly -- free stuff, girl chat with models and actresses and makeovers don't sustain. It seemed frenetic and vapid. I don't expect rocket science, but something slightly thought-provoking would be nice.

What has Stacy done to TLC that they feel they should give her a TV show? Is it blackmail? She is so bad. I love "What not to wear", but she tried once with "SHUT UP" and she blew it. Now this program is so fake! EVERYBODY APPLAUD FOR ME! She actually said that! I can't believe all the fans, does she pay these people to say these things? If you are an adult and like TLC, why would you watch this show? She squeezes herself in these designer clothes and looks like a guy in drag. I AM SO ANGRY THAT SHE IS GETTING ALL THIS PRAISE WHEN THE SHOW IS AWFUL. The fans must be teenagers who have nothing to do on Friday night. Sorry, for the venting, but I'd rather watch re-runs than Stacy standing there handing out gifts and begging that people will come back next week and watch. TLC, I hope you read the "blogs" and stop fooling yourself that you have a new hit on your line-up! I feel so much better.

I caught the second show tonight and I rather enjoyed myself. On a Friday night, watching a later evening talk show, I'm not looking for "deep", more just kind of fun and whimsical. I do agree it was a little forced, but that should smooth out with time. I'm a huge fan of wedding shows, but "Say Yes to the Dress" had me yawning. I tried to watch one episode and wasn't able to sit through the whole thing. Personally I think it's a good start with lots of potential. I am also a big fan of Stacy on What Not to Wear and try to watch her segments on the Today show when I'm home. Hopefully they give this one a good chance before they cancel it too quickly.

I love it so far!! So do all my friends, I think Stacy has a really good time slot because being able to watch a talk show in the night is really nice. I'm not surprised alot of her viewers are teens but I think its a talk show teens can watch with there moms. I've always loved Stacy and she has a pretty good sized fan base. So I think her show has a lot of potential.

I'm watching this for the first time - it's the episode w/Angie Harmon. I really like Stacy on WNTW, but find her over the top and irritating on this show. Love the concept, but really hope she gets more comfortable and less fake.

I am not as thrilled with this show with Stacy as I am with What Not To Wear. I hope they are not canceling What Not To Wear! I won't be too upset if they cancel this one. Sorry Stacy. I am such a fan of yours. This is not one of your better works. Stick to What Not To Wear! You seem to be out of your comfort zone here, sweetie!

I think this show is the best. TLC doesn't have too many shows that I would clear my schedule for, but this is definately one of them. maybe you're just not into fashion like me and the other fans are.

i think everybody needs to calm down and give her a break. We all know that she is talented and really great, but she needs to get used to the new atmosphere. Yes, i agree, she was a bit fake, but I think she is probably really nervous, because she is used to being with Clinton and disguises her nervousness with a little bit of cockiness. (i think i spelt that wrong) But anyway, I still love Stacy, and her ideas are great, I think she just needs to get used to her new surrondings. She'll be great. Anyone agree? And one question? Does anyone know if the second episode wil air again? I missed it.

HU-LLO??? U R SO CRAZY!! The adults that I know LOVE what-not-to-wear and LOVE her fashionably late show!! It is a wonderful show! And so what if we like it and we're on the internet more than adults and SO WHAT if we have a show on television for us!! the show's for every age group!! It was NEVER specifically for u, or for adults only!! ANd she is NOT a bit fake!! She's just a happy person! OB-VIOUSLY u r not a happy person and don't understand happy people! If you don't like it, don't watch it!! Stop wasting your time whining about it!! It's a show! If some ppl don't like to watch it, that's their problem!! Alot of people like it so if little of the population doesn't like it, there's no reason to cancel it!!

I loved the show! Stacy to me is FABULOUS! Love it or hate honey. Most people who heated the show are one of the 2 things. Too old to look at the show anyway or just brain dead. If you like fashion, being glamorous or just plain girly: THIS is your show. I love everything about being a girl especially the high heels. So a show like this is icing on the cake. At night I’m not thinking of politics. I wanna know who has the latest and best fashions. What color is in for the new season, and most of all who is a fashion DON'T! Stacy “Go With Ya Bad Self”......
