How many times upon entering the doctors office and he tells you to go on a diet to lose weight and when you check out,you notice that his staff including is nurses are not thin svelte and have figures of venus, but are rather overweight, this also includes some hospital staff? My 103 old mother,s nurse practioner is about five feet four inches and weight close to 200lbs,and says my mother to watch her weight altho she is in acceptable height weight scale. What gives I ask?

I think any doctor would be liable of malpractice if he/she didn't discuss obesity as a health problem with a patient. I'm sure your doctor's staff has been talked to by their physicians about their weight and they are struggling like the rest of us. It would be discrimination for a doctor to fire someone because of his/her weight too. It just shows that even health care professionals who deal with a lot of pain and suffering due to obesity still can’t control it themselves. It sort of proves that’s it’s a disease.
