Dave,

Was the Car Crusher segment used as filler material, in Mondays episode? Did the Mastic Slinger segment, not have as much material as first thought?

Hope to see you guys soon. Take it Easy, Barsky !!!

I was kind of wondering that myself. It just seemed "odd" that it was in there. Maybe they just needed to get that segment in due to the Ford plug.

Hope he answers.

Sal,

So far the Ford plug notion, makes the most sense. Here is a article from last year,in regards to the product placement.Ford Product Placement

Not really filler, per se, but an interesting tid-bit.

I like to include interesting things, even if they are not very long and do not have a real prolonged process. That machine was in the neighborhood of the barge cutting (about 50 yards away) so I went for it since we had some time.

We never aim for any certain length for the segments. Actually, for that episode, I thought mastic was too long, although I liked a lot of the conversation in it. Just under the house too much. And the turkey thing could have been about 5 minutes longer. Look for footage of the entire crew one by one lending a helping hand to the toms sometime soon.

BTW- what did the crusher have to do with Ford? Was there one there? For the record, our deal with Ford was fulfilled episodes ago, so that wasn't it anyway.

After they crushed the red Caddy Mike made the comment that they should turn it into a Ford after melting it.

Barsky,

I believe, this might have been extra footage from CASH's guys? So maybe at the time this was taped, the Ford plugs were still in effect? Sea-Bass was a character though, perfect for that segment.

Thanks for the feedback !!!

Take it Easy, Dave

Thanks for reminding me Sal.

Our Ford deal required us to show the car, though.

Dave.

Did you think it was cool because it reminded you of "Goldfinger"and the pressing engagement of Mr Solo? Or didn't you ever see it like so many others since it was a 1964 movie?
